if park won't stop your truck don't you think it is the tranny. have you looked under the truck to see if fluid is coming from the trany where the drive shaft goes in, is your carrier bearing still in the stock mount. get that shit in the shop, Keller got his fixed looking the way it is so you should have no problem.

Yea I thought the same thing (that it was my tranny) but everyone else insisted it was my diff. I've had issues with my diff housing and seals before too, which Toyota fixed under waaranty at ~3k miles so it seemed possible. Maybe it's both. Who cares. I just gotta get some stock tires on and clean it up and take it in. I'm gonna use Pauls tires since he's only a few minutes away from me, hopefully take it in tomorow or Friday for sure. The first thing I did went my truck started acting up was look under at the tranny and diff, no fluids leaking from either.

Maybe your truck finally decided to give up after continuously being owned by my truck.

Seeing stuff keep happening to our trucks makes me wanna take it easy from now on.

I wanna just finish up some mods on my truck and save for a trail rig or something.

I still want a head unit, spindles, satoshi, and some minor cosmetic changes and I'll be done. Oh and gears.

Manny, sorry for your truck. I do hope that Toyota will take care of you.

Changing to a larger tire/wheel combo increases the overall diameter which in turns affects the gearing ratio. The factory gear ratio is not well suited for the larger size, the effect is increased strain on the powertrain and a reduction in power (torque sent to the wheels for traction.)

Use the TW tiresize Calculator to play with the ratios and see how it affects gearing:

When my tranny went out they didn't ask about the tires. Just the lift. But could have reffered to the tires too idk. Put the stockers on and you should be bueno.

Ok he's the deal. I might take my truck in tomorrow but I don't have access to a water hose Or car wash. I'm gonna wipe my truck down as best as I can and take it in like that. I live in a complex that doesn't allow for residents to wash their cars there, nor do I have any close access to a hose. I only have one tow left on my AAA so it's gonna have to be directly to the dealer from my parking spot.

That being said, what's a good story? I was thinking: I went camping and it broke down there. I know they're gonna open up the diff and tranny and ask me why it's all grinded down. Obviously they're gonna now I rolled it for a while while it had already broken down, WHAT SHOULD BE MY REASON FOR THIS?

Let's get creative Tw, help me out!

How far do you live from the car wash? I may be able to tow you tonight. It would be good to clean up the under carriage. Plus if you need an extra tow - let me know. You can have one of mine. :)
