I have one, the straps are similar to a large backpack/rucksack. Two straps one on each side and able to adjust to the size needed. It will scratch the shit out of your tailgate if your worried about that. IMO if you another option I would skip the trasharoo, I only use mine for wood. For trash I take a bunch of grocery bags when I pack up food and use those for trash and keep them in the bed until I get to a gas station

Thanks for letting me know about it. Just trying to think of options to keep the bed and truck from getting gross or stinking. But we shouldnt be going more than 2 days from being near any trash cans and what not.

If you are worried about gross and stinking than consider the food you are bringing. I try to buy stuff that contains less packaging so I have less trash to worry about, besides beer cans.

Saw a truck just like yours today then, now that I think about it I think it only had 33"s on it.

Your rig is badass ... shameless TW stalk admission lol

@G.T. Do you think this event would be a good learning experience? My family and I are eager to learn the ins and outs of the overland community. I'm hopeful that this leads to my kids favoring that lifestyle and eventually passing it on.

Trails from mild to wild are available for wheeling and apparently some lectures on related subjects for those that are inclined to have some academic stimulation. Vendors displaying and selling their wares will be there too. For spouses and kids this might be ideal as there is some structure as well as plenty of experienced people around if help is needed.

We plan to camp and will be towing our trailer with us. I expect to see everything from stock trucks to seriously modified and everything in between so I'm sure that everyone here would be fine.

@G.T. Thanks you for the feedback, I really appreciate you and the rest of the STL Tacoma World community's input, help, and advice. Gonna run the detail of this event buy the wife to see if it's a go/no-go. Thank you once again.

If the weather holds it's going to be nothing but amazing views and gorgeous autumn colors. Stoked for this one for that, plus I want to see if I can get some local intel on not so famous trails and spots to visit later.

The camping is booked separately so I'm waiting till 09:00 to book an RV site for the trailer as we went a little overboard at Windrock and flattened the batteries in the primitive campsite as their was no solar generation - rained all weekend - and I didn't bring any other type of generator to charge the batteries back up.

RV sites are all booked already but I have permission to tow the trailer into the primitive area to setup camp. With that said, we can make it our base camp that the rest of our group can satallite off of. I ordered a small Honda generator that can be run to charge the trailer batteries back up if required.

I'll be at the Rendevous as well. See you all down there. Also don't forget about Fall Crawl w/TAC is about 1 week away. Please register at http://www.tornadoalleycruisers.org/store/ so we know how much food to bring for dinner. Lots of high value raffle items this year.

I had a blast at Fall Crawl last year and wanted to go back but I already committed to a 70 series LandCruiser event at Windrock for the same weekend. Looking forward to seeing all the pictures from this years event.

With the new job there's a possibility I can make it out to rendezvous in the ozarks! I'll know more after I get started but that will be my second week on the job.

Sweet, bought my wife a 2016 Trail Premium and she is madly in love with it. It's a huge step up from the 2009 4Runner we used to have.
