You'll be fine if you don't desert race it. I took a stock unlocked 80 series Cruiser through Devil's Gate on Hells Revenge in Moab.....there might've been a bit of luck there..... But yeah, it happened ;)

Most aftermarket are rebuilt oem from what I've heard. Those ebay ones are a bit expensive since you'd want to rebuild them also.

I use Amsoil too. Good to know it can keep a 500k mile engine/drivetrain running strong.

Lol. Yes.... Was gonna get it for the wife. But its a stick so she didnt want it. I then considered a trade. He also wanted 14k above blue book.

No thanks. I can dump 10-15k and have a very nice solid axle swap.

You guys need to slap me back into reality sometimes

My wife wants/wanted one too, been trying to talk her into a 4runner or Tacoma DC...she's almost there. 4runner's out of the question?

This one was pretty built. On 37s. Only reason its not in the driveway was the stick shift tranny. She likes 4runners too. They are pricey. Maybe i can find a sas'd one if i am patient

My neighbor has a LJ with 160k that knocks so much it sounds like a diesel. Got no problem with heeps, but to put your nose up at a yota with 190k is pretty silly imo - especially when American cars aren't necessarily the hallmark of longevity...

Oh, I see. Good luck with whatever you end up with. Sounds like you're going to get something nice though.

that thing is gross. And why would you not put bigger axles in it after all that? Would never ever trade a taco for that.

@Fernando make sure you wife can test drive a jeep. Take her to a dealership. I bet she'll be disappointed. They drive like shit compared to a taco or 4runner

Bought a pair of 4runner mirrors in South Central from a guy named Doggy on offer up. Not as bad as that sounds o_O. He was cool. :)

In the background are some heads from a guy that got banned on here (nothing to do with me) - at least he gave me a good deal even if they were a little beat up on arrival from the east coast. May be my p&p project for a new engine build in the future :turtleride:

First name "Snoop" last name "Dogg"???

Mirrors look pretty clean. Are they a direct fit for the Tacoma?

lol naw I got some "fenders" from that guy in Long Beach last week though lol ;)

Basically. Other than the little threaded part I'm pointing to they fit perfectly. Should be easy peasy to trim off. You have to get bolts for them I guess, since I believe the stock mirrors have bolts pressed in and nuts that thread on from the interior.
