so that's what I got actually.... a '17 WRX Limited.....

so I got the OEM short throw which was great.... however, the exhaust, is "meh" at best.... in my opinion, youre better off saving the $$$ and just buying a Nameless Performance axleback (I paid $350 for mine)

the sound is the same, it deletes the stock stupid heavy mufflers and sounds great. I also got the vortex generator and installed it myself..... but you should be able to get out the door for around 33k w/ Subaru Ambassador and USAA pricing. (granted, mine didnt have navi) so add $1-2k for that.... so $34-$35k should get you there.

    A thing or two...
You might was to consider saving yourself a few dollars and going aftermarket for the add-ons. From what I've read, the aftermarket exhausts and short shifts are a lot better than the factory options. I want the Boomba Racing short throw shifter for my WRX. It's $175 for the shifter plate and replacement lever if I remember correctly. Add a shifter bushing and shift stop for another $50 or so, and you'll have a solid setup. Subie's short throw shifter is like 3-400.

You're welcome to drive my WRX if we're in the same place.

I put the Perrin shift stop and brass shifter bushing in mine and it was a WORLD of difference. hands down one of my fav mods for all around driving.

I also did the tail light overlay and the side corner overlays.... that car was super fun.

Yeah I think there is an orange too for first aid stuff. I like the black to keep a bunch of small stuff locked up.

Thanks for the advise guys. Maybe I'll pass on the sti exhaust then, as msrp is something stupid like $1100. Kinda like when I got my truck I asked about the trd exhaust and was quoted $900 installed. I picked up a used one for like $300 and installed myself. For the short throw I think subies site lists $350? I can't remember off the top of my head. I definitely want the navi, i loved the honda navi in the ex's pilot and was jealous having to balance my phone in a cupholder and google maps when i needed navi in the truck. Caleb did you happen to talk to your friend who is an ambassador? Forgot to ask at the marathon mod day. Jeremy I really appreciate the offer to drive yours. It would probably be faster for me to just jump over to the dealer off of 28 and drive one of theirs, to see how I like it.

They're out there, just have to be patient. I've already seen a couple on here listed for 16k obo but they sold. He's willing to fly wherever and drive it home, which helps.

Stick with southern states. He could get an older one and not have to worry as much about rust. Although with the recent flooding of what I would assume to be millions of vehicles in Houston and Florida, there will be a lot of iffy used cars out for sale for the foreseeable future.

There are good ones here too if you look hard enough. Got my 05 with a new frame and 165k miles for $9.5k. After some preventative maintenance, it runs like a top!

He's not looking for anything perfect, just something to tow an off road trailer with and haul his family around. He's already got a 3rd gen 4Runner for serious wheeling.

Although he did manage to roll it while doing a u turn.
