Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
@RonRon23 If you're up for checking out Monument Valley and possibly Canyon De Chelley, as well as getting your Moab feet wet before getting into Moab (Lockhart Trail, Elephant Hill), we could head out together. I tend to make a couple weeks out of it, but moving it to October is really putting a damper on that.

I know how it goes. I try to save my big jobs like swaps for winter so I don't waste the short mountain summers. All my junk is LS swapped now. That white Chevy van you can see in the background, the Toyota, and my RX7. Helped my best mate swap an LQ9 + supercharger into his Nissan 300zx. Next will probably be a 1980s VW caddy with a turbo 6.0 swap as a drag car / dirt bike hauler.

I've gotten good at making factory gauges work with GM ECUs -- I'm too tight for a racepak.

You got a rexus build thread going?

I ended up keeping the truck accessories but notching the frame to fit the A/C compressor (which I use as on board air).

So much fucking awesome in this post.

Not the least of which is that your location is San Juans, CO. By far my favorite part of the state.

That LS shop has actually fallen apart as of late. They have had my uncles vette now for 2 years getting a built block twin turbo set up that if it ever sees pavement again will put down 1400 rwhp. Their mechanic had a drug binge and basically did nothing for months.

What days are you planning on stopping there first? I was planning on heading out Tuesday morning towards Moab, but Monday night and stopping part way might also happen. I only have Tuesday through sunday off so I might try to get as much moab in as possible. It will be my second time, and last year we only did 2 trails. Kind of planning on seeing a lot more this time around.

Rexus has a build thread in a couple places, not that i've really kept them up to date hahahaha

My next LS motor will be destroked 6.0L to a 5.5, using an electric water pump from PRI and an 8 stack intake revving as high as I possibly can :p but it wont be in a truck/wheeler

Oh, I'm throwing all my plans together at the last minute. Hell, I'm probably going to be planning the trip as I'm driving.

Thinking of leaving Friday. Or Saturday. Or Sunday. Or Thursday. Or Wednesday. Or Tuesday. Or Monday. Or maybe some other day.

    This.

I've never done a road trip like this. I'm not sure how long it'll take to get all zombie behind the wheel.

We're planning camping spots along the way as we go. Kind of winging it.

Done it a bunch of times, and it seems to be increasing. Definitely works better when you have one other driver with you, so one can plan while the other drives.

The down side is if the area requires reservations or permits......like much of UT does.

Yeah, my Wife will be with me. She also pulled my trailer on the way home from PA for the first time the other day.

She didn't cook the trans, so I'll have an aux driver as well.

    Linky to rexus build thread?

People wanting to destroke pushrod engines always confuse me.
Valve train stability is usually a the limiting factor in pushrod engines, not piston speed. You can make a case for better rod angles and less piston slap with shorter strokes, but really you're better off with the full displacement.

The 5.3L LS stock bottom end record holder spins to 8,000rpm while running 30+ psi of boost.
