I've had the RTs now for a couple thousand miles and they're great. I keep the pressure around 33PSI due to their E rating (285/70-17).
The RT is a much higher quality tire and even includes a 45000 mile warranty if I remember right. They also look better in my opinion and the tread is a more advanced design.
Going with Les Schwab is nice as well because they are everywhere.
Here's a few picks, 2 are with my buddy's truck who has the KO2s. He has the Ray10s and I have the Fuel Vector wheels.

Also, forgot to mention. They are a little louder than the stock tires but they don't bother me that much. The sound isn't a droning irritating sound, it's just a little louder and it's not an issue for me.

The one issue I have had with the RTs is that they are a little slick on wet pavement. My next rotation I'm going to get the them siped. They have big lugs and are designed for off road use so when you buy a tire like this you can't really expect perfect grip on the asphalt.
I'm getting them siped at the next rotation. Siping tires has really helped on my previous vehicles but it's good to let them get scrubbed and used a little before you do it because siping on tall, deep lugs can give the tires a little more flex and sway than you would think.

Thank you for sending photos of side by side comparison. Both tires looks great. But the TOYO R/T looks so much more aggressive and you're right, Toyo offers 45,000 mile warranty. Again, I greatly appreciate the feedback and info about tire pressure.

I've had the Cooper ST Maxx, BFG KO2s, driven vehicles with the General Grabbers and Toyo Open Country.

    Honestly love these things now.
For an A/T they're decent on the rain. I do not find them to aquaplane at all, just with no weight in the bed if I give it too much off the line they slip a little on pavement. The Coopers were a little quieter but not by much. Radio at 15 volume or higher and you don't hear these.

Off road they have been absolutely amazing for rock, gravel, and light mud, but can't see why they wouldn't do well in heavier mud too.

Ive been running a set of 285/75/16 KO2s for almost 40,000 miles and I am maybe half way through the tires. They are hands down the best tire I have had on a vehicle in the snow and ice. they even say snow tire on the side of them. I drive up to Tahoe 15-20 times in the winter, and let me tell ya, this last winter put them to the test and they absolutely blew me away. In 4 wheel drive with 12" of snow on the ground the truck would just hook up when I punched it. I have noticed them getting a little louder, but I was running the KM2s before, so in comparison they are wayyyy quieter.

    There's my .02...

Ran 35" KO2's on my Wrangler and loved them. Better than my Duratracs were. Just picked up my Tacoma with KO2's and hoping for the same experience. They were fantastic off road in sand, mud, and rocks. I also thought they were quiet on the road, but that's subjective. Haven't tried the others mentioned, but it makes me curious now.

Huh, I've never thought about that siping a DD tires. I know that its used in racing world but on a dd vehicles. I am in kind of surprised to hear that the RTs are a little slippery on wet conditions. Again, not to be a PRO COMP Xtreme MT fanboy. I've noticed more grip in wet and dry condition compare to the stock Wrangler Kevlar tires I have on the 17 Taco. I live in the "foggy/misty" hilly, tight, lots of twisties in the area and I feel like my truck wants to fish tail. Weird? But I am comparing the 3rd gen to my 1st gen with 3 inch lift and MT tires. I feel more "planted" on the ground with the 1st gen. Maybe, its because of a shorter wheel base, solid vs C frame. Or I am not use to the truck at all...SORRY WENT OFF TOPIC...but it is about the tire grip. lol

As long as it isn't a drowning noise, like these tires. lmao. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIVzzotE_F0

Wow! Those are AT tires? Definitely, looks aggressive and seems like it is made for OR.

Thanks for the infos. I will look into it.

Not that it probably make a difference. But do you have the KO2s on a 2nd or 3rd gen Taco?

I have Toyo AT2s on my 2nd gen and the noise has noticeably picked up now that they are around 20k miles, but they are LT tires so have more tread depth over the regular AT2s. They give off a nice whirring hum though which I like. Makes me feel like I'm driving a truck and not a passenger vehicle with a bed.

Haha. Good point about feeling like driving a truck and not a passenger vehicle. Sorry, just to clarify, Toyo make regular AT2 and AT2?

Might check out the Falken AT3W as well. Much quieter than the Duratrac it Toyos. Has excellent ratings for wet conditions and is significantly cheaper than any of the above options. There is a pretty lengthy thread on here discussing them.

I like the toyo open country's . I have them on the Ford diesel and boy do they ride nice and quiet. I do take the big bastard offroad at times and the tire's do well. I've heard a ton on the KO2 "bro" tire's but never have heard much bad. Seems to be the tire of the "bro" at TW.
But ...Nitto trail grappler's are absolutely my favorite! Started using them on my JKU's . There great on road and off-road.
If you rotate every 3000 miles they wear even and will last almost forever ! They handle well on rocks, mud, sand, snow..whatever you aim them at they do it!
Will from Sierra expeditions warned me they were loud and 30k tire's . 78k on my 12 JKU and 47k on my 15 JKU .
I also have a set of 33" on methods waiting for my suspension on my 17 TRD offroad :).
    Get Nitto,

I have heard really good things about Falken tire's :). And the price is really low
I thought about trying these on my taco but did not to mess with the success I am having with Nitto. Hmmmmm probably should have tried them.

Yeah for 265/75/16s the AT2s as a P rated tire have 13.1/32" tread and the LT version has 16/32"
