    Without a spring compressor no you can't without scratching up the springs. It's easier to adjust them while it on the truck and on jack stands.

    I just wanted to pass along the procedure I used to adjust my coil overs with a little help from @Lord Helmet. :)

    Here's what I did... I bought a punch kit from Harbor Freight, and cut down the 5/16" punch so it fit in the adjustment hole with enough space to fit behind the reservoir fitting.

    Then I used an extension and a hammer to rotate the pin past the fitting so I could use the King tool in the next hole.

    I did oil the threads and had no problems at all using the King wrench. When rotating be sure to check the lock nut as it tends to get tight as you rotate it. I lifted the truck so there was no load on the suspension.

    Nice idea, thank you guys. Does oiling the threads affect collar after you lock it down? I'm afraid that could allow it to creep over time.

    Also, what UCA's are you running? I noticed on my boxed UCA they are beginning to rub the hose. Are you finding the same?

    Nope as long as you tighten the collar Allen screw down without stripping it it won't move at all.

    Boxed UCAs I've seen so far have a few cases of rubbing the resi hoses. Mainly the Dirt King ones.

    I am running BajaKits UCA's. I haven't noticed any rubbing but then again they've only been on a week, but I'll keep an eye on it!

    Enough that the Allen head is visible completely. Works for me on the Fox and king coilovers I have.

    Yea I have the Dirt Kings. Started showing some rubbing within first week. I wrapped the contact section with wire / cable wrap in hopes to prevent any serious damage to the hose. What I would like is an alternate way to mount the reservoir, but I can't seem to find any other option.

    Finally broke down and ordered mine with adjusters. Sure hope they are worth it...:goingcrazy::goingcrazy::goingcrazy:

    I just checked my UCA's and I have quite a bit of room between the arm and the res. hose... but I will keep an eye on it.

    they are, the clickers have 30 positions. I found the best for street highway to be at 15 (middle). I'll be playing with them more next time I hit the dirt.

    Good, I'm replacing front readylift 2.25 inch on stock sport suspension with the Kings. Also replacing rear shocks.

    Good deal! Installing mine this weekend, and had the kings on the floor trying to envision the turns and clearances inside the coil bucket. Had issues on my Gen1 without remote reservoirs so I'm familiar about the problems somewhat. I have a 1/4" socket that fits snug in the hole, and have a coilover adjuster from my last set of kings I was going to cut down so I could do exactly what you're showing here. Along with some oak dowel rods and nylon punches, am hoping that is enough to get them past the "dead zone" without having to take them off the truck or bugger the collar holes up in the process.

    I figured I would also chime in on the band wagon.

    I was once all in on the BP-51s, looks like a good product with great reviews and many people were happy with it. I ignorantly assumed that the Kings were already way out of my price range but decided to do some research on it. Turns out they weren't as crazy expensive as I thought and I ended up getting a bigger/better shock for much less.. I went with the King 2.5's w/Resi with 700# springs as I have bumper, winch, plates, sliders and soon dual batteries. In the rear I also have the King 2.5s with a Deaver U402 level 2 rear leaf pack and Timbren U-bolt flip kit.
