Just lifted but kant get rid of the small shake

    Ok

    I have a 2010 double cab long box automatic TRD Sport and I installed the Tuff Country 3" lift kit with rear leaf.

    I hve a small shudder form 10KPH to about 25kph. I tried the 1/4 shim for the carrier bearing but it was actually worse. Anyone have any other solutions they could tell me.

    i have roughly the same thing after installing my 4" spindles, bils at 0.85 and OME leafs. im going to try a leafpack angle shim as mentioned above....but let us know when you get it worked out!

    More in the seat. NOthing in the steering wheel.

    I would get the axle shims and try that. Try it with the bearing drop and without. See if there is an improvement either way.

    ^ do i need a new center bolt for my OME leafpack if i was to install hte shims? want to ensure that they still engage in my axle and wont slip off!!

    Probably driveline then. I don't know much about the bearing drop but I know that shims directly address the angle of the driveline, I've had to do that a couple times before on other rigs and had immediate success.

    Also, did you get new tires at the same time? I once had some joker improperly balance my rear tires and it felt just like driveline issues but not until 50mph.

    No, you just 'thread' the center bolt right through the shim, it has a hole in it.

    Depending on how long your U-bolts are you can usually just loosen them enough to get the pin out of the leaf perch and tap the shim in with a hammer. Then retighten/align the pin into the leafperch and torque nuts= done.

    ^ cool, thanks dude. so just to confirm, the shim will become part of the pack (its basically like a washer on a bolt setup.)

    No, the shim will not be attached to the pack. it just sits between the pack and the leaf perch and the centering pin just slides through it like a peg. No need to loosen or remove the centering pin.
