Trans. fluid low? If you fill it to the overflow with a cold transmission it will be about a quart low.

I can check and report back.

Edit: I did not know the 2005 did not have a dipstick to check the transmission fluid :anonymous:
I haven't noticed any leaks either.

Don't buy a chevy. The RAM has the best Diesel engine. The cummins is used in big rigs where the other 2 aren't. It's also easier to service due to its straight 6 layout

Chevy diesel Motors suck . I know I work on them all the time . Ford sucks too . If you want reliability go with the Cummins

That 7.3 was a great motor back in the day. Last good diesel Ford had. My father had 2 and I had 2 and ran them all about 200,000 miles each. Trans issues yes, motor NO.

Yea the 7.3 are bad ass . Only issue I've seen with them are the high pressure oil pump but again those also had 250,000 + on them lol

Yupper, knew about the pump issue that's why we got out before 200,000. What was the deal why Ford got away from them, emissions?

Ain't that the truth and nothing is cheap to fix on them and they want it all back to the dealers. A bud of mine spent 1200.00 bucks for front bearings on his Super Duty twice. Not motor related of course but he was towing way overweight all the time (equipment) with no trailer brakes. I thought maybe all the front brake heat was getting to the bearings.

Adam, what is the low down on Mercedes down there? One of my best friends just took a position down there. Good for him, but sucks he's moving away.
