For me length of my truck is not the problem. It's the width of my garage door.
It's about 2" short and I risk taking the paint off of my truck if I try.
I have to park on the street, and some nights after work, I'd have to park half a mile away and walk home. sucks.

You didn't say width of garage. Ever get an estimate to install a wider door?
I like to spend my money on invisible things that make my daily life more enjoyable, or at least less of a hassle.

No, you're right. None of my neighbors park vehicles in their garage because they have it crammed with stuff. I have a two-car garage and I put two cars in it. I'd rather have two of my vehicles protected from the elements and potential theft.

My '17 DCLB fits and sleeps inside my condo garage every night. I put a bump-stop for the right-front tire and when I hit that I've got about 3" clearance in front and 2" in back. I've been doing this for about a year and I still check often before just closing to make sure I'm all the way in before just closing. I don't want the "scratch of shame" on my back bumper that my Mercedes bore.

i got in the habit of always checking before closing the garage door (regardless of which vehicle) and when pulling through parking places by throwing it into reverse and looking at the floor/parking place to see how far up i am. i know that if i can't see the lip where the garage floor turns into driveway that i'm not far enough up.

So I tried to do this. Widen my door. But I live in a condo., and all the garages are together housed in a separate but nearby building.
The HOA unfortunately won't allow me to upgrade and widen my garage door because they want all the garages to look the same.
It was a battle I was going to lose no matter what reasons I could come up with, so I just had to resign to parking where I could find a spot on the street and have an empty garage. But one day when I have a house... sigh! Buying a home in San Diego is near impossible these days if you aren't in a pay grade closer to $200k per annum.

You found me, although I moved since, the name stays ;).

It depends on how fast I drive in and when I stop.

Actually, my ACLB fits fine. I hung a pink tennis ball (very visible) from the ceiling. It's right in my line of sight and it taps the windshield which gives enough space to close the door.

Even if mine fit, my wife wouldn't let me park it in the garage. It's her space and I'm ok with it.

You think my ACSB would fit? Or is that even a thing?

Definitely not! The wife's car would be in the way and there's no way she's moving it.

Mines a two bay 26x30 wide. I hung everything in one bay on french cleats so if i needed to get something big in there i can clean it all out.. the other bay has the bench on the back wall and the remaing tools/assembly table is on castors (actually old hospital bed :)). I can park my '16 dcsb on either side but the bench side is the tighter side by far. Still fits better than my buddies f150 doublecab 6.5' .. that sucker only has an inch on both sides, the antenna bounches off each rafter and when the front bumpers against the wall i cant walk behind it...:violent:

Sorry, I don't know how wide my garage door is, My truck would go in and would barely clear the wide mirrors by an inch or a little less.
The shutter of the garage door rolls up. Not perfect, but this picture has a shot of the garage door in the background.
Edit: Inside the garage, there's about 1 feet wider each side. It's an old building.
