    The saga begins last night. I see the post and it is a decent deal at $250 considering it has the rib rack and a few other goodies, which as it turns out, I am planning on ribs and brisket this weekend since I am hosting the Canelo v. GGG fight. But, was it really worth driving just over an hour deep into Orange County for it, especially since I will easily he spending $2-300 on the PPV, meat, and beer? I decided it is, because sub $300 WSM 22's are very seldom posted for sale.

    I get out of work today and call the lady to attempt to offer $200. No answer, so I leave a polite voicemail asking for a returned call. She calls back a few hours later just as I was gonna KTFO on the couch. Says somebody is coming tomorrow for it and I say I can go tonight, a guaranteed no-flake sale. She is ok with it, and last second I throw in the offer of $220 and she says might as well, as long as it is gone tonight.

    One problem, I only have $200 cash on me, which would require a visit to the ATM for the remaining $20. On the way to the bank, last second, I decide I want a Naked Juice for the road so I go to the gas station next door and figure I can get cash back there. I am at the register and see that they brought back a certain $30 scratcher, so I add that as well. $55 total. Scan the scratcher on the machine and it is a $40 winner, not bad, $10 profit. Fuck it, go big or go home. I trade in the scratcher for 2 $20 scratchers.

    First one, all hope, but a loser. Second one, I scan the barcode on the lotto reader machine and.........................................

    image.jpg $500!!!!!!!!!:amen::bananadance::bowdown::drunk::headbang::oldglory::yes:

    Now, I essentially got a free WSM 22, ribs, brisket, beer, ppv, and a full tank of gas to cover all expenses for this weekend.

    That now puts my grand total for 1 WSM 14, 2 WSM 18's, and a WSM 22 at roughly $200!!!

    The only way this can get better is if the new chick at work, that I have been trying to get at and is supposed to come over for the fight, ends up putting out.

    And for good measure, I picked up this baby Yeti last weekend to keep its medium sized brother company. I had a $25 dividend at REI and they did a double dividend weekend, so I get an extra $20 back. It will mainly be used to rest meat in it after a smoke, or to now keep uncooked meat separate from beer in the bigger cooler on camping trips.

    That's incredible! Hell of a score.

    If this girl's name is Wendy Sue McFadden, you'll probably get whatever you want with absolutely no unwanted strings attached whatsoever. :rofl:

    Ha I was thinking about it this morning. It is in the 80's here and supposed to be again tomorrow. I have the AC on set at 68 where it always is. And tomorrow is grouse opener. Just too damn hot it would kill both the dogs and me. Sunday a little better but still in the 70's. Not sure now with this freaking heat wave may do it Sunday morning or wait until the temps gets down to where it should be. But I need to cook something so..... It is so damn hot right now I had a salad for lunch :anonymous:

    Salad? You sure YOU don't have a temp or something? Did the salad at least have some BBQ or steak in it?

    With the demographics around here, it would most likely be Wendy Sanchez Martinez.

    I will be heading to costco in a few hours for a brisket and ribs. As a person who's only sport they watch is boxing, I am like a little kid before Christmas for this one. Especially after the great start to the weekend yesterday!

    No not even bacon :pout:The heat is really getting to me. But will start to cool off soon. It better!

    Yep I eat a lot of romaine like that usually EVOO with Chicago Steak Seasoning on it. With a club of meat as a side. OK I'll come clean the romaine is the side. If I have room for it.

    [IMG]

    And thank you for posting that and reminding me. I have been eating so many grilled zukes guess I kind of forgot about the romaine. Well it is corn on the cob season and been eating a lot of that too.
