    Hey everyone,
just about to pull the trigger on these, and went to fill out the "check vehicle fit" portion on Amazon, completed it to get a "does not fit your vehicle".
They state these as the 25470's which appears to be the correct product number for my 2013 taco 4x4.
Could this just be a glitch in there system? I hate to order them and they end up not working out. But as it states, they seem to be the correct number for my vehicle.

Some insight would be appreciated. I am willing to buy elsewhere, but I'm located in canada (yukon) and can get free shipping off amazon. And this is the cheapest i've seen.

    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001DC1U4O/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1

    Thanks

Also, is there anyway to ensure they're the new style with the 2 washers vs old style with 4? Or was there much change/improvement to them over the years.
    Thanks.

That price isn't great,I'd check with Marie at headstrong off-road and see what they have them for, also you can look at the JBA UCA's as well...just options but I'd rather give my money to a small business then Amazon when I can....my 2 cents

headstrongs $590 CAD plus shipping which is likely $100 here but i'll check with them. And maybe duty? :(
Atleast i'd be getting a trustworthy part.

Gave headstrong a shout, we will see. I need a 1/4 spacer anyways so might be easiest to grab it all from them.

Headstrong is a good outfit. Also, you should know that SPC will not honor their warranty unless the items are purchased from an authorized dealer (like Headstrong)

I'm running part number 25470 as well. Ordered through FatBob's Garage for 379.99+tax. Conversion would be about 483 Canadian. Also on a 2013 Tacoma. Fit perfectly. I have had them for a couple years now, so not sure if prices have skyrocketed or not.

Now im faced with the battle of finding a qualified alignment tech here to get me some good numbers.
I called around today and half the shops had no idea what i was talking about.
Kal tire here (whitehorse yukon) was somewhat familiar with these style of arms.. but man is it frustrating trying to explain to them why you need them and whats required to set them up properly. Not to mention im not even that familiar with them myself.
Is there a general rule lf thumb i can use when i bring it in for the alignment?
My set up will be 5100's maxed out at 2.5 (stock coils) and bfg's 275/75/17.

Set the caster to the "D" position which is +2° and tighten the balljoint all the way OUT to the outside of the slide. You should be able to get a good alignment using the lower adjustments from there. I'd make sure you tell them you want the caster set on the higher end(close to 3°). They will likely set the driver side lower to compensate for road crown which is normal.

people don't seem to realize how much shipping, duty and tax on orders from the US are for Canadians; adds up fast. Amazon is usually my go-to as well.

Ok let the shop know, although im pondering with the idea of doing it myself.
I need to install new 5100's and 887 coils at the same time. So wondering if i should get a shop get it all done and aligned (and hope they do it right)
Or dive it and try it myself. Im fairly mechanicaly inclined, but that sort of task seems a bit daunting.

Will the higher caster give me a better alignement but more chance of rubbing if i were to get 285's down the road?
Currently have 275's with no issues, but there pretty worn.
I had read theres a sweet spot between a good alignment and minimal rubbing with larger tires.

If you have some mechanical aptitude you can install all those parts yourself and save quite a bit of money. With the help of some of the threads here I installed all my parts myself. Just get the springs compressed at a shop with new top hats and it's a direct swap. You can make the appointment for the alignment for later that day.

Yea im thinking ill do some more reading and likely try and tackle it myself. The shops were quoting me 4-5 hours total which adds up to quite a bit. Id rather learn how to do it myself, follow the instructions and know its done right.

Any idea how much the top hats are?
Ill have to grab them from headstrong when i order the coils!
