I'm in need of an alignment and reroute too....also have extended brake lines that I haven't had time to install. Guess I should make an appointment.

Is there any Brew meetups or anything where everyone gets together once in a while in Reno or the surrounding areas? Would be fun to get together and meet some new people and check out eachothers trucks. Lets get something together. Even if its just a handful of us.

I order some new tires today. I went with a Cooper ST Maxx 255/85. Hope they are good haha. I got 5 and will have to do some work to get the spare back up though.

I paid 209 a tire from discount tire in Reno. Not sure how much total, I got a price for 4 mounted and balanced for 916.40 a month back. Place up in truckee where I live wanted 236 a tire, so I said fuck it and went with discount because it was the cheapest I could find. Place has big glass window so I for sure will be watching them make sure they are gentle on my truck. I always am nervous to let people work on it.

Did you get the warranty with the tires?

I was not asked for that yet. I had to order the tires so only gave a deposit. Should I buy the warranty? Whats the deal with it?

They will replace the tire if it can't be patched. Nails in tires can be patched but if they are within 1 inch of the sidewall, then they have to replace the tire. That includes sidewall damage, a blow out etc. After you buy the warranty for all 4 tires, if you do need to get a tire replaced, it costs $40-that is the price to renew your warranty. I've used it once to get a Duratrac replaced because of a sidewall gash. Pretty worth it.

Pleaseeeee go picture crazy when you get them on. I've been debating this size forever and can't make up my mind. From what I've seen it's just a matter of bending the brackets that hold the spare in place. Good luck!

I never buy the free replacement warranty (for anything). When you buy from Discount they give you a free prorated road hazard warranty so IMO it's not worth it for the $120 you pay for the certs. But if you're the kind of person that wheels in the rocks every weekend and are constantly slashing tires you may get your money's worth. Just like any insurance they're banking on you not needing it, and their bet usually pays off.

guess I will see how much it costs when I get them all on. I do wheel a lot so I will think about it

Yes I will for sure take pics. I am curious how they will look and also feel being skinny. I have 2 inch lift so we will see. They get ordered on monday and kid said 3 to 5 days to come in.

If I am not mistaken. I think the only time you get the free prorated warranty is when the tires have a mileage warranty. Most all terrains and mud terrains do not come with them.

I can not even tell you how many times the certs have helped me get all new tires when one goes bad with and without the mileage warranty. It's just an extra piece of mind. And especially for me on all my vehicles it has been worth it.

    Do it!!

Seriously. I spent 200$ extra on my 40s which now cost 500$ each. I've warrantied two. It cost me 100$ to warranty both. So I'm into the warranties 300$ now but got 1000$ worth of tires.

Obviously that sounds great when your tires are that expensive but I warrantied some 35" bfgs as well and it saved me money long term.

Maybe you never use it but the minute you cut a sidewall or put a nail through the edge of the tread you'll be sorry and that shit isn't hard to do...

I don't normally buy warranties either but in this case I think its very worth it.

    Just trying to help.

Tires are the only warranty I buy.
