Coffee Pot not working in bed outlet

    Currently camping, would love a cup of coffee, but for some reason when I start the coffee pot, after roughly 5 seconds the outlet quits working in the bed. The lights on the 400w button in the cab just turn off and the coffee maker shuts off completely.

    The dash does say check charging system, but it's always done that. And I've never had a problem with using the outlet for things like blowing up an air mattress.

    Any ideas why it's not working?

    How do I check the power rating for the coffee pot?

    I would recommend seeing if the truck has enough power for it while running, hopefully that's enough juice to power the pot

    It does work with the truck running. But there's people sleeping in these camp grounds so I'm not gonna do that. Thanks for the help guys.

    When I go camping, I just boil grounds in pot over the camp fire.

    If you put a little bit of water in the pot after it's done boiling, all the grounds will fall to the bottom. You have will little to no grounds your coffee cup when you pour it out.

    Fire up that truck, turn on the outlet, plug in the coffee pot. Or get one of these.

    You could use a propane stove to boil water and French press your coffee. Or buy one of the camp coffee pots.

    Percolator is definitely the way to go. Chicory and a dash of salt, throw in some egg shells, cowboy coffee :headbang:

    I'd look into the jet boils or a percolator for camping or a 12v one for the truck.

    My old scout master would keep a percolator on the Coleman stove that was constantly going. I swear he would drink about 2-3 pots of regular a day.
