Ah. Weathers great right now. You should enjoy it, but theres a typhoon down below Baha making its way north. Supposed to run right up the western coast of Baha, but its a slow mover. We might have some rain coming by that time.

No that's the common Americanized spelling. It's from das macht nichts.

@Cypherian Attached are pics (excuse poor quality) from 2013 of a simple manual transfer switch set up I installed for a friend. I subfed a 100 amp circuit from existing 200 amp panel through a manual transfer switch to a new 100 amp panel. This new panel is the normal/emergency panel (N/E). Emergency power is supplied through a 30 amp recept mounted outside @ gen set location. I am thinking the generator was only 8000 watt. Under power loss, gen set was connected and started, breakers in N/E panel needed to be in the off position to shed load while moving transfer switch handle from normal to N/E position. Than close breakers for critical loads to be energized. Friend had an outside wood burner with circulating pump and also wanted the blower fan on his AHU energized. He could toggle between hot water heater and other heavier loads. Actually was a good economical set up, because you can do more with 30 amps on two legs than what people realize.

I never heard anything. The fireman that came to look at the burning line at my house did say he had to go back to a tree on a house call. I guess this was it. It's off the main road I travel so I hadn't noticed it until a neighbor told us.

I have a "heal jack" for my right shoe to keep my hips square or my back will go out of alignment. I do have knee pads but I mostly use a knee board. It's hard plastic with memory foam bonded to it. Looks a lot like a padded tray about 18"×24". Works great for working in one spot for longer periods.
