Rugged Fails strike again.

 

This his not rugged fails fault, this looks like a problem with trhe u joint on the driveshaft. Zoom at the pic and you can see the driveshaft is disconnected. Mine is starting to squeal like a bag of mice. I need to change it soon.

I'm fine and my truck is too. This is as from the local news...traffic collision and it looks like the Taco lost.

 

Oh man you scared me. My u joint is squeaking and all I can think about is my driveshaft coming off and the truck flipping over just like this.

 

I'm kind of surprised that they don't put some kind of bracket under drive shafts to prevent this. Maybe it is just so uncommon it isn't worth it.

 

Are you implying that the drive shaft either seized or broke and caused loss of control? If someone instantly grabbed and stopped the drive shaft, i suppose the truck could have a kickback moment similar to a chainsaw which was seized at its upper tip region.
