It might have cut it off, but the ammo can compartments make up for it, and its weather proof so thats a plus, no more muddy/dirty tie straps and jumper cables for me, haha.

During their demo, DECKED did admit that it was a long time coming, and that they were doing everything they could to release it ASAP. The Tacoma was one of many applications that fans are waiting for.

I was actually going to attempt to build my own drawer set, or even purchase similar items in the market, but yes, they only use 2/3's of the bed and it bothered me. I also wanted a slider system, but again, the wheel wells would almost make it a waste of space to get it so narrow. Im definitely happy with the DECKED system.
    Short bed.

Definitely bad ass, and the bottle opener makes it more badasser, haha. everything flows well as far as functionality.

I actually wanted a slider, just because its hard to reach certain things in the back for me because of my rack, but its a bit narrow since the wells kinda use up most of the space.
    Exactly.

Wont regret it! I just cleaned it today, super easy.

If I got your question correctly. You're not required to get a tailgate reinforcement, as the drawers will only open once you lift the handle to unlock the slide. But personally, I will be upgrading my tailgate with a @Mobtown Offroad tail gate re-enforcment.

Im sure everyone uses their truck differently, I personally don't need to transport large items. So its perfect for what I'm using it for.

You're always welcome to hit me up to check it out! We're somewhat locals. (La Habra)

As I've said, we all use our trucks differently. Of course the system takes a little more space, but it also makes up for it because you still can use the top, which is rated for 2000lbs. You might have lost your cubbies, but two ammo cans make up for it. I hate when things are disorganized and left out in the open in the sun or for people to steal. So its everything I need in a bed solution. So in my opinion, more pluses than negatives and I definitely recommend it!

Man. Last time I looked they weren't available for tacomas yet. And truck vault was too pricey for me. I ended up building my own. It's in the final stages, still finishing up my version of the "ammo can" on the sides. But combined with a topper, I love it so far. Curious to see pricing on the decked system to find out how much I saved (or how much I wasted!)

I agree. I was thinking about getting one for my Silverado, and the only reason I would is because I have a mid-rise topper on my standard 6' bed, so I could still use the bed. It would be nice to store my camping gear, shotguns and misc gear in the drawers and still be able to load up my kennels, dogs, tents etc in the bed.

But the drawers aren't full length slides (for safety reasons) and the price is just hard to justify for simply storing some stuff.

The indication that they gave us is it would be priced close to the original units around the $1079 price point. Obviously, until they start selling them they could change their mind.

Decked said a while back it was going to be $1100-1200. Considering truck vault, weathertech and others reach $3-4K this one is cheap.

I would use this for camping and fly fishing. Other then that it would be I the barn.
But as said for $1100.00 it's a great piece of kit . Want want want

I hope to be very busy once these launch selling to all the Colorado and Tacoma owners. They should be very competitively priced and I don't see it being more than that.
