Do you guys make an adapter so it will fit the Bakflip G2 cover which relocates the bed rails down about 1.5-2" lower. Also the cover sits flushed on the bed.

I really want to buy a set, but haven't seen anyone with them with the Bakflip G2 cover.

On that note - is there a rule of thumb for mounting Rooftop Tents using these, or any crossbars? I'm assuming that the wider apart the better, but as in GlennR's setup, they're maybe 1.75 feet apart, if that! Assuming that's a function of where the connectors for the specific Retrax cover go, but wondering if anyone had any wisdom to share in that regard.

As long as it's solid, you're good to go.

@KB Voodoo By chance have you compiled a list of confirmed tonneau's that will work with these?

    Retrax
    Extang Solid Fold
    Toyota OEM
    Truxedo Titanium?

    Any others?

I'm looking for one while I wait for my rack to be delivered.

    Cheers

Just finished installing the crossbars, as well as my quick fist mounts. Really hoping that my Retrax tonneau doesn't interfere with the quick fist mount when I install it tomorrow.
Just wanted to say I had no issues at all with fitment, or things lining up, and this stuff is legit heavy duty.

@KB Voodoo - 2 questions - I know the bed rail system might support a couple hundred lbs. or so - does this whole crossbar + rooftop tent system work because the weight is distributed evenly, and for the most part onto the top "shoulder" of each side of the bed?

Also - any suggestions on how far I might want to tighten these down?

Looking forward to getting a tent soon, will follow-up once that happens.

Got my Retrax One installed today, worked just fine with the KB Voodoo cross-bars - it's basically flush, but i'm going to be picking up some weather seal to just patch up some spots where I can.

Can also confirm for anyone interested that my quick-fist mounts work just fine, and didn't pose any compatibility issues with the retrax cover.IMG_20170917_192010.jpg

Being that I have an access cab I have the longer bed; so I was able to put my front crossbar bracket 2 feet behind the cab. The rear bracket is about 1 foot forward of the tailgate, just where the tacoma bed rail supports start inside the truck bed. This allowed me to mount my Tent firmly on the two crossbars with about 1 foot of clearance between the tent and the cab. Plenty of room to open the cab rear window and also just enough to access small items out of the front hatch of my tonneau cover (the front panel of my tonneau cover closest to the cab is operable). I store my fuel cans in there so its pretty convenient having access to that space while on a trip.

If you wait a few weeks you will see that the weather stripping will conform to the bracket, mine did anyway.

Anyone have pictures of these mounted with an Access LiteRider soft roll tonneau? Looking at these and haven't been able to find any pictures.

I’m assuming this will work with a 3-4 person tent too?? Hopefully!

Has anyone mounted quick fists to the outside of the risers? Thinking of putting an axe there under a RTT. Seems like it should work, but nobody seems to have a picture of it in this thread (or anywhere else I've searched on TW). Picture would be great. Only mention of quick fists was for KB's bracket to the inside bed rail.

Asked KB directly (very responsive in emailing, great customer service), and they hinted that the mid height is a better option for attaching stuff. But these seem more relevant to what I want (ease of removal and install and quick access to flipping up at least the last section of my OEM tonneau cover).

Based on the look, you cannot have the tri-fold fully open (folded) and still have the back cross bar over the top... is that right?
@KB Voodoo Any chance there is a version of this that is taller to allow the tri-fold to sit under the cross bar when it is folded open??

No I can't open the cover fully, but I can open the first section. I'm fairly certain the first section (folded over) will fit under the bar, but I feel like that's kinda redundant.
