I'll probably be there friday. Not sure what time yet. I need to talk to my boss and see if I can switch my days off. If I can't I may wait until Sat morning since I wont get home from work until 6-7p.

Man I wish, started with a new company last month and am still working through the 13 week training period. Completely on call at the moment so I am having to stay close to home. Eventually the call in "sick" process is very lenient, just need to work my way up the scrotum pole. :bananadead:

If you decide you want to sell the trailer and rtt keep me in the loop. Was looking into starting a build of my own soon but yours would make a good start if I can afford it.

Its actually really nice, you just have to get the right "hang angle" and if you lay sideways in the hammock you will lay more flat. Also if its cold outside your ass will freeze! The wind underneath you takes all your body heat away! If you sleep hot then this maybe a good option.

Bro, just pull your truck up towards a tree, strap around the bumper, strap around the tree and you are good to go!

That's the appeal of a hammock to me when solo camping... all you really need is one tree. No flat ground? No problem!

Yeah but then there are other factors that you have to worry about, like rain, or critters... If there are mosquitoes then you will get bit, everywhere, but they make bug nets. The random summer rains also suck, but you can get a rain fly. If you use a pillow i would suggest using a small pillow, as pillows can easily fall out at night.

Nice tips, I didn't think about the pillow situation. I've used a subway bag filled with large bubble wrap when ultralight backpacking before lmao so I get that. I could half-ass make some of my tarps or mosquito net work with a hammock if I'd decide on one and get it already.... Each year I've been telling myself (for a long time now!) that I'll try a hammock that season, and each year I forget about it till I'm on the road to a trailhead

    edit: can't English
