Paint My TOYOTA Grill Logo?

I installed a black Grillcraft grill on my 2006 Desert Sand Mica Tacoma last night. I have one of the Landcruiser type TOYOTA emblems (like W8N4 MUD's) on order. The emblem only comes in white lettering. Should I paint the emblem or leave it white. If I decide to paint, what color should I choose? As a side note, I will be leaving the grill surround chrome.

Hmmm..., I sure like the color match but with you leaving the surround chrome I'm not sure..? Probably why you started this thread.

 

well, if you paint it black, you probably won't be able to see it that well against black grillcraft. i would color match it.

 

i ordered my emblem from the stealer ship it was 45$. i wish i had kept the part number but i got rid of the packaging you should be able to just go in there and describe and they can order it

 

Thanks for the info, that's good to know. I've seen them for twice that online, but I think it was for an discontinued Toyota vehicle, not sure which.
I was actually asking and expecting a reply from "28gauge", but you can never get to much info. Speedway Blue's a little flashy for me, but that color match Emblem on your's really looks great.

I have it installed with the white lettering right now (sorry, no pics just yet). I am going to see if I like the white or not. I was actually surprised at the number of votes that "color match" received. I was afraid that the desert sand mica would look too "ghetto".

If I go with the color match, where is a good place to get the spray paint?

 

eBay for color matched spray paint or go to a paint store to see if the can custom mix one for you. I think DSM is paint code 4Q2.
