I know just what you mean. We have way too much stuff. I can't stand using my garage for storage though so I had a ToughShed built in my back yard (Looks like a small barn).
I wanted the ' 3rd car ' part of the garage for my home gym. And with that we can easily park 2 cars, my longboard and about 50 pairs of shoes on a standing storage rack. So there's plenty of space widthwise in the garage but it could stand to be just a few feet deeper.

I'm surprised no one has commented or made jokes about the phalic symbolism that's been overlooked in this thread.
To be clear, it was not intended when I started it but after I read my post and some of the responses a few times.. lol, I swear it wasn't intentional

A 3 car garage and your truck doesn't fit. Waste.

What are you doing where 5 inches makes that big of difference? You gained 5 inches and lost about the same in bed width going from a short bed full size to a long bed mid size

We got a long bed Canyon, our Silverado is a short bed at 5ft 8 inches. Last Colorado was a 5ft bed, little short but bed extender made a huge difference and never was stuck not being able to haul what we wanted with the shorter bed but with the new option we took it. Fits in standard Texas garages no problem here, Silverado has 2 inches to spare and Canyon is about 6 inches shorter than that. Next house will have a massive garage so I can get a long bed full size if I want or need as well as fit a boat, bike, toy car and lift. Until then I make it work and why I have the shorter bed full size.

I would never leave a vehicle outside anymore. Have had a few totaled by hail over the years, some times you hear police reports of kids or vandals causing problems or theft regardless of how nice the neighborhood and then there is the Texas sun tearing up paint, trim and interior. Pass, garages are for protection of vehicles and stuff, would never choose cheaper stuff over an expensive vehicle to sit outside, to each their own but crazy if you ask me...

You're a wise man Tyler. Kitchen comment not necessary but everyone was thinking it.
My f150 didn't really fit either and 5 inches does make a difference, just ask your wife.
HaHa. Just kidding. Couldnt resist that one. Please don't come vandalise my truck because it's in the driveway.
