I have a 1998 tacoma. It is not starting, I got a new battery and a new relay. When I go to turn it on nothing happens. Any ideas as to what it is?

Check the battery fuse in fuse box under hood. Also does the dash light up with the key on? Headlights work? Just making sure you have power.

The lights do not turn on and the dash doesn't light up either. Sometimes the airbag light lights up very dimly. Also it's a manual 4 cylinder. Thanks for the help!

Will it start if you pop the clutch?

Check the ground on the engine block. Follow the cable from battery to block.

We switched out the starter relay. That was bad. Got a new battery and still nothing. I will look into the fuse and the ground. I think I'm going to swap terminals also because they seem pretty used. Thanks for all the advice if there's anything else I'm missing let me know!

There is an after market alarm system however it no longer works as we had to cut it... another story haha. Something else I just remembered, when the truck is off there is an odd clicking noise coming from the radio or somewhere around there
