I researched years ago for a hand pump kit. Came with rods a piston. Goes on well head. They only went to 100' with extensions but won't do mine at 480'

https://www.bisonpumps.com/ No idea on them but them and two others supposedly have a pump that can go 350 -400 foot

@Kolunatic Doesn't someone make a vertical tank stores like 200 gallons that you tie into your current water line ? I have seen it on TV or some where before installed in a garage in the corner . They tie into it so the house feeds off it to keep the water fresh.

?? How long of run time can you get with a 100 lb. tank. Thinking about a conversion kit for my generator. Good morning to all.

There is a huge variable IE how much draw most gennie makers make claims of can run for X hours per tank of fuel if you read the small print it is at half load etc. So you would have to do an audit on what you want to run add all the wattage up and then size the generator to that . Perhaps your generator manufacturer can give you the numbers after conversion propane usage rate vs wattage drawn?

:pccoffee: Good morning. It is 49* right now was 87 yesterday. Mother Nature had to make a big show about such a wide temperature swing and put on quite the show last night. And rain. Feels good now though. Nap sometime today to make up for the lack of sleep. And because I can.

I ended up an hour at 250* then another hour at 220*. Some said you can go as long as 3 hours but I think about an hour and a half would be perfect. Or whenever the bacon is done :D

My favorite way to eat corn on the cob is how I grew up eating it. Soak it husk and all for half a day or so and throw it directly in hot coals for about half an hour turning it 2 or 3 times. Some kernels will be burnt but even those are tasty. My youngest son and I would do that camping at the end of trout season I miss that. Fresh caught trout and fresh corn, hard to beat. I have 4 ears left and will throw them directly on coals later today. Time to go soak some corn.

Morning all, got up at 4 and went back to bed, woke up at 7.

Don't forget, if you have a water heater, that is another large water storage device. Turn off the supply line and I have 50 gallons in an emergency.

Underground poly tanks. If you can't build up, build down.
You can also get creative and use smaller tanks in garage/shed/barn rafters. You would have to add strength somewhere as well as overcome any freezing issues, but it's a thought outside the box.
Another option to pumps is solar and or a dc pump (as mentioned) with a small solar panel kit and a battery.

Glad to hear they are working hard to get you back up and running. How much damage from the flooding in the Florida room? Is it screened in or is there drywall?
