Hoping someone caught a few pictures of me yesterday. Most of the dirt/mud was UNDER my truck. Everett and Matt looked like they rolled theirs in the mud! There were a few places yesterday where it was muddy and sticky mud at that. Rush is a cool place! We'll need to go again.

@EubeenHadd also did well in the 3rd Gen with street tires! You'll learn as we go how to use gearing to the advantage. Don't be afraid of 4lo and use the whole band in 1st gear!

These are the reasons why I was jabbing mud out of my wheels with a stick this morning! Hope you're okay Cody!

...and that's all I got until I upload some video. Too busy leading the shenanigans and forgot about pics. No dash cam because phone got hot last time I did that.

Found a pressure washer. Good as new. Got at least 10lbs of clay out of there.

As picky as I am, I would own an FJ 'Cruiser in a HEARTBEAT! They are awesome. Throw a few aftermarket goodies at 'em and they are BAD ASS!

BTW... Sandy gave Rush high marks. She likes it more than Black Mountain, which was her favorite. A tie on the trails itself, and bonus points for being 2 hours closer to home for us. Drive home was uneventful (ie no fog) I was impressed. The only thing I'd heard previous to yesterday was negatives from a relative who does buggies and SxS's. I was really happy with the fact we could do so much distance, instead of the usual 5 or 6 miles in 1 day. BTW...There's a gas station just off exit 181 (where we jumped off I 64) that has showers. Anyone doing extended camping might want to check them out. Most Flying J truck stops have showers too.

Just a guess, but with the mud we saw yesterday, I'd bet that place is a bitch in spring "wet season".

Glad she liked it as much as you did! I think everyone had a great time out. We're more capable than people think too, I heard a lot of the negative comments leading up to this as well. Reason why I had never been there all these years.

What gas station? Only one I know of around here to have a shower would be Flying J.

We will NOT be going there in the "wet season"! Ever!

It was a small "quickie mart" station just a few hundred yards off exit 181. Gas was cheap there, so that's where we took care of that. Saw the showers when I went in to use the restrooms. Flying J would probably be NICER showers, but it's nice to have options!

Yep! Just a tic more rain and some of those hills would have been about impossible! I did feel like I was cheating though...Mud tires FTMFW!

BTW...Took a look at the aluminum skids. I pounded them a couple times. Just a couple scratches, no dents. I'm confident they'll hold up to what I will dish out. Very happy with my decision to keep the over-all weight to a minimum. It still handles like a stock truck but provides plenty of confidence that I'm NOT bouncing off parts that are easily damaged. I dragged the sliders in a couple spots too. They're all that AND a bag of chips! No worries about body damage!

@beertimecontinuum You make it home yet? Kinda had me worried. You seemed pretty sick when we first got there.

He's still on the road I'm sure. We didn't leave til close to noon.
Said it seemed to be fine from the park to the gas station. He himself also seemed to be feeling a bit better

17 minutes until time to go home from this hell on earth I call a job!

Wifey is out running with one of her sisters. I will have the house to myself (3 dogs and 6 birds) There is a nap in the forecast.
