I have mirrors mounted on the wall of garage so I can see the side of the truck as I drive in, due to loss of an eye and depth perception. I also stapled pieces of carpet to the garage wall, where the open doors make contact. Sheet magnets glued to carpet pieces can also be used to attach the carpet to the side of your vehicle (in a tight garage) to keep from getting dings from another vehicle in the garage. IMHO

What's up with that? I've heard that they are susceptible to chipping.

My belief is the poor quality windshields they use. The OEM Toyota glass I have had good luck with, I just had a decent chip right in my line of sight so I replaced it. The two windshields following have no lasted more than a week. Granted, rocks are everywhere here and its inevitable that it will happen.

I try and request OEM Toyota glass which I believe is Pilkington glass, but to no avail. I get the cheap, shitty knock off Fuyao glass.

Cheap quality or discrepant material. Doesn't take much to crack or chip these. I was hoping the non-Toyota brands are better than the Toyota brand. Apparently not. I have one small crack. I just hate to replace it with the same sorry glass. I posted earlier that my fathers 16 Camry windshield looks like it was hit with pepper shot after 2 years of driving.

Not sure what you mean by "request." Is your insurance involved? if you are paying for it you should receive exactly what you request.

Yeah according to the Safelite tech, the replacement glass is obviously meant to meet or EXCEED OEM standards... had me fooled. I just have personally had better luck with OEM glass.

Either way, my insurance company loves me I'm sure replacing glass every 3 months.

Oh no I don't have a deductible or have to pay. I have the option to request anything I want, but it's whatever the replacement company, and in my case it's Safelite, has on hand to replace.

I guess beggars can't be choosers.

3Inch lift, bigger rims and trail digger xt tires, 2 weeks survival gear on board. Custom steel bumpers in progress. Blacked out grill. Debagged. K&N, weather tech floor liners, Trifold bed cover.
Upgraded drive train breathers to atmospheric with anti-siphon tube(scuba mod). Stainless mesh in end of vent. And Max tracks came in and gave them a quick easy access home in the bed

I dipped my grille. On the fence about the blue emblem. I thought it might go well with the rest of the blue and silver I have on the truck.

No, something's not right. There might be increased noise (minimal) due to added turbulence but no more than having the sunroof "up" and less than having the sunroof "open". But absolutely no "whistle" on any of mine. Are you sure it's not one of the rears? I didn't understand the clips (duh, just me and my mind) so I opted for a strip of 3M automotive tape the entire length. Because all the other set of these I have installed had that feature.

    Bottom line, mine are quiet.
