I'm going to put on some wax before the citrus meet as well. Were there many tight trails there?

 

Not too bad. a couple tight spots but not too bad.

 

Good to know. That's the one thing I don't like about going on trails.

OK dealer did the tranny TSB and i just got done changing the oil. My truck is happy now, shifts smoothly and no more lag and of course the 5.5 quarts of Royal Purple helped alittle too.

 

i thought oil changes were 4.8 ?

 

4.8 without filter. 5.5 with

 

Have you used Royal Purple before? If so how do you like it? Any difference? Do you still change as often?

 

This is the first time using it and i can tell it has given more power. Using the scan gauge i can tell how much hp at any given time and it looks like anywhere from 5-15 more hp.

 

That's impressive. I wonder how much of that is from it being Royal Purple as opposed to just being newer cleaner oil.

 

I have no idea since this is the first oil change since i have had the scangauge so we will see.

 

Do you plan on changing it just as often?

 

First one gets changed at 3k and than back to 5k for each oil change. You can even run it longer but i will just keep it at normal intervals.

 

Cool, where did you go to get the TSB? Avenues?

 

Yeah coggin at the avenues. If you take yours there talk to jomar. He is awesome and will take care of it no problem.

 

Jomar at the Avenues? Did you just take a copy of the TSB with you, or did you have to just through several hoops, or make an appointment ahead of time? Is Jomar a service writer?

 

Jomar is one of the service advisors, I took a copy of it in for him and that was it. I called a day before and asked if he could take care of it and once he brought it up and saw what it was he said no problem. Just call ahead and talk to him and see what day he can get you in. I have never had a problem with him. Whenever i take my truck up there i only talk to him. He and Rick, the service manager, got my suspension TSB done before it came out to include the 09's. And i didnt have to do a thing, i just asked to have it done and no problem. They are great there.
