Possible Almirola to the #10???

 

To be clear, RPM is not the Petty Enterprises of old. THe King is a minority owner of the current team which started as Evernham Motorsports back in '00. This was the team that brought Dodge back into NASCAR. It expanded mightely under George Gillet before nearly going under in late 2010. The team was days away from closing up shop when Medallion Bank bought the operation. The King is just the face for the team. Remember, Medallion had to put their own logo on the #9 car when Hornish was running for them a few years ago. IMO, they need to change manufacturers, get a cheap, young driver on board, and secure some combination of weekly sponsorships (like they did back in the day), and run some laps. The world is not long for smaller, single-car operations like RPM.

I remember back when multi-car teams were the minority. Jack Roush was running the 6 & 16 when I was a kid. Junior Johnson had the 11 & 22. Penske ran only one car and Hendrick had the 5 and 25. I'd love to see teams capped at two cars, like F1. Share sponsors, similar to the #37 & #47 cars. Have the veteran in top equipment and the youngster running the B-car. I know there were teams running multiple cars in the '80s, '70s, and '60s too.

 

Ehhhh RPM can't make money bc they have lunch meat equipment, but marketable drivers... That combo don't mix for sponsors

There is a possibility he will land the 10 depending on sponsorship with Smithfield, because they LOVE him... Wonder if waffle House would follow, or will I be asking Bubba what his waffle House order is if I meet him...

Kurt is still negotiating with SHR...

 

SHR's problem is really performance and not so much the drivers this year. They didn't exactly come out swingin' with Ford equipment like they thought.

 

As long as Toyota stays the premier powerhouse I'm content

 

I love Kyle Busch winning, but this is a 100% aero war....

 

These cars are running mostly common parts. I wonder what toyota found to turn their performance around from the early pet of the season. OR, were they sandbagging all along? That was mentioned earlier in the season, as rumors of inspections would be reflected in the TRD camp's performance dropping off a bit. Denny and Kyle have been busted a couple times for things. Truex is a juggernaut. They've figured something out. Nascar is probably sniffing and if they find something, we won't heR about it until after the season finale and it'll probably come up in January as some vague new rule.

 

What a bunch of fucking idiots. That crew didn't do shit for Suarez, and they fucked Kyle. Good job Coach. Great fucking call.
