Just sold my 07 TRD OR access and bought a brand new TRD OR access. Had to negotiate with 3 dealers. Got it for 32400 out the door. I prefer new over used.

16s were the first production runs and as such have the most issues. Why is your friend selling it? Get a new one.

He's in construction, going back to fullsize GM. His truck is nearly perfect DCSB off road. The only thing i dislike is it is black. I thought the price was about right because in the market place I haven't seen any like it below 30k.

I paid 32.2 for my new DCSB 4x4 auto in the color I wanted.
    Buy new.

Tell him to get an F-150, or a Raptor. It's better for my Ford stock.

Not a steal at that price. Since you already don't love the black---i would just spend a few more $$, get the truck you want, and at the same time, avoid many of the early development issues (not that all of them have or will be fixed by the time you buy yours)

    In progress.... And getting better!
I say go with new. Not only do you get what you want, as stated above, but you get a fresh warranty.

Go with new. You can negotiate the price, and you'll get to choose your options, and your color.

    Like, so many.
Another vote for new. I generally buy used vehicles because they depreciate so fast, but the way these hold their value, you may as well go new.

Two vehicles you almost always buy new...

    Toyota Tacoma and Jeep Wrangler.

1 or 2 year old used ones are so near the new price that it rarely makes sense to by a "nearly new" one.

id go new also. Id even wait on the 18 models because really no rebates so you should be able to get an 18 when they come out for about same price as the 17s.

I'd go for a new one if it were me. Warranty, you pick the color and options and these don't seem to depreciate enough to make it worth it to buy a late model used.

I know what you're saying but I like the fact I'm not losing the money being the first one to drive it off the lot.

There's something to be said for that. I've had great luck with used vehicles as well.

The 17s also have 1.9% financing thru Toyota, I imagine used would have a higher rate.
