I wouldn't either! But very curious as to the final solution.

I installed the 3rd set on my truck Friday morning and got the same static; Even after installing ferrite cores on each bulb connector. I have respectfully parted ways with this product but look forward to a solution down the road. Both the vendor (Tacomabeast) and manufacturer (WinJet) have been VERY helpful in resolving this issue. I certainly recommend others giving these a whirl as it appears that my truck may be an outlier anomaly.

I am very sorry the third lights did not end up working out for you. And thank you for the kind words. We currently have all the lights that had static issues back and did some testing yesterday, and oddly enough they both worked perfectly. We are currently stumped on this issue and are trying very hard to figure out a solution to the problem.

Just curious, where they tested on a truck or on a bench fixture?

We rented a TRD OR from a local dealership. We are currently seeking another truck to try the lights on

One more question, do you know if the customers who experienced the static had any electrical mods done on their trucks or bone stock?

Only other thing I have is a bumper light bar, I did disconnect it from power and ground to make sure the combined LEDs were not collaboratively interfering. I don’t get any interference from that light bar when it is connected and powered on by itself.
Keep in mind my truck is an sr5 with very basic electronics, the radio in your tester TRD OR is different than what I have stock in mine.

As mentioned in the email i sent to Winjet as well, my SR5 does not have smartkey either therefore not as many radio waves bounding around that need shielding; maybe toyota cheaped out on the wiring...

So apparently these taillights not only give you the look of a Ford, but also the reliability...

Just curious if you have figured out the static issue yet? Was looking to upgrade my headlights and taillights but saw this thread....

Any new updates on these lights?? Looking into purchasing some for my 2017, but skeptical with some of the issues reported.
