I'll be using 2 good backs, and the 2 new lenses. Out of 4 headlights, the only piece that's not usable is the melted back of one

I helped install with friends on a 3rd gen. Not on mine. But my point is that they are a very solid piece. The way they attach is far beefier than this cbi sliders.

I followed directions from the retrofit source on thise headlights. I even went cooler temps. Oh well

I still have them. Don't know what I'll do with them after I paint em up. I like the look of sliders, but Krystle needs to get in and out of my truck easier, hence the steps. But since she's now moving to Harvard, I'm thinking about sliders.

Ahhh, I gotcha. I've seen some of their sliders in person and they're pure beef, as well as their skids which I'm running so I expect nothing less from them.

Did you forget to put the cardboard in there?
    I stole someones bike?! Whoops.

:annoyed::annoyed: this freaking cardboard. Video showed no sign of cardboard. So I didn't use it. Last night I used a cookie sheet though. Mainly because if they melted again, I would have had to clean the oven. Again....

Use cardboard next time! It helps prevent exactly what happened with yours. Sucks that it didn't mention it.

i used a piece of wood when I took my tail light apart. I thought I saw a quarter in there, but it was just part of the tail light ;)

Wait....the taillights aren't baked together though. You have to cut them with a dremel.

should have specified.. motorcycle tail light. Then silly me, I used high temp red silicone to reseal it. So I can never get the LED board out.

@EatSleepTacos What do you recommend I paint the reflectors with? Special kind of spray that will bond to the chrome? Should I use an etching primer on it? Should I paint before or after I cut the reflectors to fit the projectors?

I'm sure the answers are out there. My wonderful loving beautiful and insanely smart girlfriend forgot to pay the Comcast bill. I'm waiting for the payment to post. Using a cell phone sucks on here.

Have you done a retrofit? I forget who said they had done one.

I have not, only done the BHLM. I plan on doing a retrofit soon though! I think the route I'll go is strip the chrome with oven cleaner, prime, then paint. Reason being is when I painted part of my headlight, I did it right over the chrome. It seemed to chip off pretty easily.

It looks like it! This isn't my pic, but one I stole from a retrofit thread. I'm not gonna link the thread though because OP was a moron and did a bunch of other stuff wrong. He seemed to get this right though.
