Does anyone have some 2nd gen Tacoma rear axles i could "borrow", when i was swapping my rear diff i saw some junk on the rear axle bearings...... and my truck i believe is making wheel bearing noises....

And/also does anyone have a shop that i can take my axle shafts to and have new bearings pressed on to save on labor?

My first day in a long time to sleep in. All I wanted to do is get close to sleeping in until 8am.

The company that started replacing my neighbor's roof showed up at 7am sharp and has been going strong since.

    :/

Is anyone here a general contractor? I'm looking to do an addition on my house but the quotes I've gotten so far seem pretty high. The cost of the addition is more than what I paid for my house. Doesn't seem right.

    Depends.

Ideally: 960 sq feet. 480 sq feet is garage, 480 sq feet is a master bed/bath above.

Could also go smaller with 880 sq feet. 440 sq feet is garage, 440 sq feet is a master bed/bath above.

It does require a foundation pour and roof.

So i called my truck warranty on coverage of rear axle bearings...... So they will cover axle bearings, but will not cover wheel bearings..... I tried to ask what the difference was, but all i got was "wheel bearings are for your wheels, axle bearings are for your axle"............... but the wheel bearings are pressed onto the axle themselves......

I saw a news segment last week on lack of builders effecting the re-model industry here (People can't find anyone to take the business) but your situation seemed to be the one that was still functioning.

We could have a CO TW- Home Mod day

Thats no joke, I bid a deck 2 weeks ago, they people asked me when I could get to it, I said late October, they flat out asked how much more it would cost to get me to start sooner.

No doubt. And I have to wonder the quality of contractors that can start right away in this market.

I'm in no rush although I would like to start as soon as possible (so I can start enjoying the house upgrade)

What about prebuilt stuff? Then you just need a crane and some finishing work

    :notsure:

A two story garage/master suite can include prebuilt stuff?

I was thinking if the bedroom is over garage it's just one big standalone addition even if you tie it into home. Might be worth talking to someone.

This should be cheap. Looks propeshional... and you can pull it right up on it's own power right before attaching it then just slap some siding on.
