Some folks here are removing that trim piece and painting them to match their trucks. $5 rattle can should do the trick. My drivers side window switch is scratched also so I am planning to paint them eventually.

Window switch control is total not there in my pic. Takes a simple trim removal tool and some slight prying/pulling to get off

Sorry to break it to you OP, but a persons car is a reflection of how they live. I learned over the years of dating several women that if her car is a wreck so is her life. Literally and figuratively.

If her car is a trash can, imagine where she lives. You can pretty much expect the same thing in her bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. Dirty, unorganized, and shit everywhere. Don't even get me started on the train wreck of drama and other crazy shit that seems to follow in their wake.

Same thing for dudes - had several roommates in college where the same rule applies.

Best advise is to get a woman who has her shit together.

Baby fingers will scratch the paint on the interior trim , wouldn't stress over it to much not a major project to pop it off and paint .

Thanks for the heads up, no babies in the truck.
    This trim is seriously delicate

Might be better off living with it. You'll replace it and it'll just get scuffed up again, if not from her than something else

You're right, I think. I'm changing it out as I already ordered a replacement part, and I may try paint/plasti dip, or something on the damaged one for future knowledge. I was pretty sensitive to it as its still a brand new truck and the first ding always hurts the most.

Here's a thought, tell her to put her feet on the damn floor like a normal human, or was she raised in a barn? My wife tried that once and i almost threw her out of the truck, man up bro and take control of your ride!!!

She's aware. She offered to pay for the replacement part when I told her what had happened.

Scratched trim is better than no trim at all.

Oh hell no!!! You can get a lot more mileage out of this by taking the high road! Especially if she is wife material. Just bank this for future needs (which will come soon enough!)

a few options for you, 1) loose your shit on her until she is afraid to even look at your truck. 2) get the fuck over it.

Those are the only options. pick one. only one. maybe both. no, only one. preferably #2.
