It is if you are already paying $100 for internet.... they are getting greedy. If I had a date for Fiber, then I could see paying more for better service. However, they have quit updating people on the fiber progress. With Google Fiber slowly turning into wi-fi and not going to so many markets, cox has no real incentive to push it's own fiber. So, you can pay more for the same crappy service. I think they have been watching comcast.

I'm paying $85 for an older 150 mbps package they no longer offer. The next lowest package is $65 for a measly 15 mbps. Luckily for me, data caps aren't enforced in my area.

Fuck that noise. I got signed up for a home office plan.

    $90 a month
    100d/20u
    Unlimited data usage.

And since these greedy bastards want to play that game I've been making sure I use as much data as possible ever month. I'm averaging 3.4tb a month currently.

When I called them they told me that 1tb is more than what 99.9% of their customers would use. So far I know most people with kids, who cut the cable, is kicking well over 1tb a month. It's just them being greedy bastards and sooner or later everyone on Cox will have some type of data cap. And $50 more for unlimited is absolute bullshit when you get no other perks. Their 300mb plan should be unlimited, or at least 4tb for the how much it costs or even unlimited.

Cox I assume? I'm at $60 a month for 100d/10u with 1tb a month and it is not enough

Correct. I was at $79 a month for 150d/20u. I wasn't about to pay $50 more for just more data. Speed doesn't matter since I'm the only one who uses the internet at my house.

I am $99 a month for the 300mb plan. I usually am just under the limit. Although hockey season is about to start, so I know that will go up.

This right here. Since I work from home I stream games all day while working. It chews through the data fast.

I will be at all the home games, so that will save me some data. Its the away games, Knight games, and red wing games that will eat at my data.

We'll have to meet up for a beer at some of the games. I didn't get season passes just due to the fact the stadium is so far away from my house. But we are going to try to go to the opener and at least 8 - 10 games this year.

I can meet up, but I can't drink during the game. The NHL frowns on us drinking while working.

Been trying to get the free Netflix that T-mobile is now offering. However, their customers' site has been down for the last two days.

Have you tried to stream nhl.com at all? Mine likes to studder ever 10 seconds or so. It's the way they are sending the data and it's annoying. I noticed it a bit last year but man it's bad so far this year.

I haven't done it this year. Still waiting on my new discount code, they tell us to cancel each year in order to get it the new code to work.

PISSED about tonights game. I wanted hockey (and money). Now I have to wait until Sunday.

    Yeah it's bullshit. Bad ice...

I think I already renewed this year. I might cancel and just use Reddit at this point due to streaming issues. I'm just hoping their bandwidth is lowered until the season starts.
