IMG_7469.jpg I got this last year. 17.5' Bass Tracker. It seems like I have a lot less time to use it then I thought I would when I bought it.

Southport 30 for fishing the salt off the Maine coast. Just showed up from Florida 2 days ago and sitting on her mooring.

Do you mean the same boat model or one like it?

Picked this old girl up this spring, a 1966 Corson that was made about an hour up the road from me here in Maine. She doesn't look like much and she tops out around 30MPH, but for $350 I'm not complaining.

Plus, it doesn't break your heart when you run a $350 boat right up onto the beach. :D

Picked my boat up today. Had the cockpit done in a foam material called AquaTraction.

That looks awesome. I may have to look into that. Dose it look like it will be easy to keep clean?

Judging how they showed me how it cleans, it should be no problem. It doesn't soak in anything. Dealer that did it has a mat for hit workbench and it was nasty and grimy. A little boat soap and a stiff brush and it cleaned right up. Turns out it was seafoam green!

Thanks! Didn't run when I bought it, but I tinkered with it for a couple of weekends and she's run fine ever since.
They were actually incredibly well built boats, apparently. There's still a ton of them running around the state; I usually see another one about 50% of the time I go out on the water, and the company that made them has been out of business since the 80's. Very heavy fiberglass construction means that it's a hefty boat, though. It's 17 feet long, but the boat, motor, and trailer weigh in around 3000lbs.

Here's one of my boat loaded down with gear for a camping trip that I took with a few friends earlier this summer. Its a 1977 Sea Nymph 14'. Its had decking installed so there is a nice flat floor in it. It's powered by a 1958 Evinrude 7.5 horse. The motor runs like a top.

That is beautiful. Did you build if from the ground or as a kit? I have been pretty intrigued with those Pygmy kayak kit. They look like a lot of fun.
