How does the air pressure in the spare tire look? Maybe it took a hit and lost pressure?

One thing I noticed, your winch is much louder under operation (all aspects) than everyone else's. That might have been because it was spooled up onto itself too, don't know much about them to be honest

Spare tire is now mounted.....to the garage floor.

Little cable winchy thingy is broke. Must have happened early in the day at Rush.I first thought the noise was my CB antenna hitting the back of the cab. Figured out that wasn't the problem. Spare tire was hanging loose by a couple inches. I just got under the truck and sorta pushed on the spare...

It fell almost to the ground.

Only thing that kept my hand from getting smashed was the fact the cable is too short with the truck lifted. It stopped about 4" from the ground.

Can wind it up and it just falls again. So. Mount spare in bed or get swing out. It never ends.

Is your's an actual cable? Mine is a chain.

I like this. Less chance of pure rust taking over and ceasing it up

I also thought the sound was your leaves or something else. Maybe shackles even.
Then it started to go from "squeak" to "clunk" and I knew something was off. Beers later and I didn't even think to mention it before ya hit the road man. :sorry:

From what I'm told, they started with chains, went to cable, then changed back to chains.

The handle supplied to lower it would have been a rightious bitch with the new bumper. Now no longer an issue.

Had it on autofocus. It focused on the first thing it sees, which in this case was the leaves.

Asshat sends me an email....Tells ME to fire a 24 year employee (that's not even in my department) because he saw this guy eating in an area where he isn't supposed to be taking breaks. He knows the members will be livid when they find out Tommy has been let go. No documentation....No record of previous offences....And when the shit hits the fan, I'm 110% sure Asshat won't stand behind me.

    Solution?

    I'm not firing him.
