So here's my dilemma, my Taco sits at around 550-650 lbs constant over the rear. I intend to lift it (2+", 33" tires, no swing out, no steel front bumper) and will have a budget of $4500. All-Pro has told me to look into Alcan or Deaver for custom springs. May OME Dakar's be a possible solution? Occasionally I carry a 440lb Dual-sport that's hitch mounted. I'm fairly new to the suspension game and would like to hear from other members of Tacoworld. Thoughts, comments, concerns?

    Thanks in advance!IMG_1229.jpgFullSizeRender.jpg IMG_1921.jpg

Since most of your weight is over the rear and you arent planning on adding extra in the front, you could probably go the 255/85 route and get your 33's with no lift. (there's a link in my signature regarding putting those on a 3g OR that is otherwise stock) Then you just need to deal with finding whatever leaf springs support all your weight, instead of also needing to get a lift to fit tires.

It's very interesting to me that all pro didn't plug their own expedition leafs for you, because a lot of folks look to those for trucks with lots of weight in the back. If they specifically directed you to Alcan or Deaver, rather than sell their own product, those are probably good, honest recommendations. It also speaks quite a bit to their integrity as a company to direct a customer elsewhere so they get the best options for their truck.

Aw thanks Jibbs, I forgot to mention this is what I'd like to do as for tires.

Airbags are always an option as well.
