Tried painting my hood scoop black, but I can't get the paint to cure. Any suggestions?

You'll need to provide more info before any meaningful answer can be provided.
What kind of paint? Is it a 2 part paint? Rattle can? How did you prep the surface? What was the air and surface temperature when the paint was sprayed? Was the paint at the same temp? Did you follow the tech sheets? How long did you let it flags between coats? How heavy were the coats? Etc...

Auto Paint, scotch brite surface, not 2 part paint, inside paint booth 80 degrees, 8 hours between coats.

Is it still tacky? Once a long time ago we had some paint mixed by NAPA and they didn't mix any hardening agent in the paint and it would not dry either.

Auto paint - non 2 part. Is that a single stage enamel then? What brand and type? Need to review the tech sheet. 8 hours between coats seems like an awfully long time but I can't imagine that would cause the paint to remain tacky.
