Had a real good time today and knocked some projects out. We got to meet @STLTacoma and see his amazingly clean 1st gen access cab. New suspension and mounting his new wheels had him grinning from ear to ear when all was said and done. @VangaSTL got his rock lights on and helped me get the ARB Intensities on the front of the LandCruiser working again. Looking forward to sorting out the date for the next mod day in October. I'm thinking the 14th would be ideal.

We will be going straight to work with @ChandlerDOOM and getting his new tray and canopy fitted and extra hands would be greatly appreciated. Chandler can fill us in when he wants to tackle it when he has his return schedule solidified. I know a few of us - myself included - are very keen to get to finger poke it when it arrives.

What's up guys? Just wondering if any of you have spent any time on the forest service roads around Mark twain national forest or have any suggestions of anything similar? My buddy and I are going to come down from central Iowa and do some off roading and camping in a month or so and I figured who better to ask? Thanks!

We are doing Lost Creek Rd on Oct. 7th. Also there are a couple off road parks in the state of MO

We thought about hitting SMORR but not certain. My buddy emailed the info center for maps of the forest service roads and they're supposed to mail us maps of all of them in 29 counties. Not looking for anything too hardcore but water crossings and some light technical stuff would be fun.

We do mod days and they have proven to help, we had a swap meet and that didn't really gather much applause. But now I'm thinking that this November I'll host a "Fluid Film meet" and fuel up the pressure washer so everyone can get the undercarriage really clean prior to spraying it down for the winter.

We've found that three cans seem to work well for our trucks. You can add a fourth but it would most likely be excessive. Thanksgiving time is a no-go for obvious reasons but I'd like to hear some days that might be ideal.

Do you usually just use the spray cans? I know there are fluid film kits you can get withal gun and different nozzles and attachments, but they recommended having large air compressor for it, and I only have smaller ones we used in construction.

Was going to ask when you wanted to fluid film the trucks!

First weekend of November will most likely be stocker no locker. So maybe 2nd week? Unless we have a lot of hunters in here?

If we get enough interest I wonder if we can chip in for the whole big container and spray attachment?

I did just that. Pick up a good map. Google satellite view helps find cool areas too.

I've got cans already for my stuff which is why I have that mindset but I do have an air compressor and we could probably find out how much coverage we can get out of a kit.

I hunt but am taking this year off because I'm still not comfortable drawing the bow anymore and am on the fence when it comes to crossbows.

I think that second weekend in November is the rifle season. Bow is much longer from what I've heard.

Yeah, we get longer but I stopped going out when the orange army hits the woods as I've been shot at a couple times and it's not very entertaining.

Well Ladies and Gents, here is the finished product, it's a tight squeeze with all the wires inside of it but I did manage to get it closed. Just need to install it in the vehicle and I'll have my cheap man's switchpro

3 pigtails come out of the box. Far left will go through the firewall and connect to the switches, middle is the output which will connect to the accessories, far right goes to the battery.
    20170919_160238.jpg

    Box all closed up
    20170919_160152.jpg

Mini bus supplies +12v and ground to the relays
    20170919_105145.jpg

Mini bus attached underneath before bottom cover is placed on.
    20170919_112045.jpg

Switch assembly will be mounted inside the cab. This is only 3 switches. The relay box has enough for 3 more.
