Get him to get a deal for you from his local sources. Go with all around OME shocks, OME 888 coils, ARB Bushings, U bolts and Dakar Leaf Pack. Then get 285/70/17 KO2s or Duratracs on either TRD PRO SEMA 17" or METHOD Roost Rims in Black. That's what I would do. I regret getting 265s and regret putting the 888s on Bilsteins. I just think the ride quality would've been better with the OME shocks as it only provides about 2" lift and you don't need UCAs if its only 2" lift. should cost around what he quoted you. including install/balancing and alignment. That way if any issues arise, improper balancing, alignment etc which I experienced, the dealer is responsible for it.

    As soon as I purchase it I'm putting a 6" with 35's
Man that was a lot of great info !! I will probably make some people MAD but the truck will only be on the highway so highway ride quality is pretty much the only thing that matters besides looking good !! I know why but the best off-road truck in the world only to drive it exclusively on the highway but I can't really answer that except I just want too lol !!! I think I'll buy it and wait a couple weeks and then make my decision about having them do it or me do it myself !! Probably go with one of the setups y'all have suggested though because I would prefer it to ride as good as factory and that sounds like it can be achieved with these setups !!! Any body willing to talk on the phone and help me out please send me your number because I will call you tomorrow and discuss it s little more !! Thanks a lot !!!!

The price of the lift is included in financing. Maybe he doesn't have $3800 or whatever out of pocket + labor.

I'd rather have my icon stage 1 setup than have a dealer install a 4-6" lift.

    Cmon man.

So is the manufactured drama over, has the OP decided to listen to all the recommendations on this thread to NOT have the dealer install this lift?

Or is this another thread where they ask for advice, ignore it all then come back and complain about the truck because their decision was flawed?

The reason most people fall for this type of dealer shtick is $. Because "it only adds x $ to your monthly payment when we roll it into your financing".

Not paying for a vehicle outright is a discussion for another thread.

Buying stuff to add on that you can't pay cash for is just lousy financial decision making. Usually brought on by a rabid case of instant gratification.

That's true if it's dealer added or DIY added.

But the dealer bits compound the issue, as they are generally sub par components.

BTW, be careful about the line on warranty. It will only be good only at the installing dealer. I can assure you Toyota is not warranting that stuff.

Not my cup of tea, but who cares what I think! Your truck, you do what you want. Smart to come here for info and advice, a lot of folks with experience and willing to give good info. As stated above, there are probably members near your location who would help with a lift for a few beers and some off-roading! I hope you get the truck and thoroughly enjoy it!!

Agree. My dealership tend to put spacer on top of spacer to get the 4" lift in front and a huge chuck of block for the rear. Then throw on some ugly ass shitty wheels lol.

This is exactly what I'm doing except 887 coils and Wildpeak's instead of KO2's.

WELL I definitely appreciate the advice and I'm going to heed all the info on the dealer lift , a little info about why I'm buying a new truck is because I lost my truck in Texas while trying to get back and rescue a family who was stuck inside their home due to high rising water ! I had a 2015 Duramax LTZ that was nearly paid for so for the ones bumping their gums about me not having the $3800 sorry to disappoint but it's not an issue , actually I can dang near pay cash for this truck from what I got back from my other truck !! I'm gonna take my time on my lift and do it myself or with the help of anyone in my area who is willing to help, I don't know the best way to get what I want that's the reason I'm asking cause I know y'all all know !! I live in southwest Louisiana so I doubt many people are on here but maybe , who knows !!!
