I've gotta 3hr drive up! More like 5 for y'all in Chas though so I understand. Depending on my plans I might can camp at keowee-toxaway Saturday night. Would probably be last minute decision though if anyone else wanted to join!

yea we'll be last minute also, but she's also got some business in greenwood so we'd at least be more in that area if we go camping and riding. we'll see what the woman says.

That's not a bad idea. I'd have a much easier time convincing the wife to camp somewhere with facilities.

Gonna have time to grab a beer while in town?

we'd have to see what time we got there honestly. we're picking up a friend and taking them to a rehab facility. we would proooobably need to do the beer beforehand lol

I'm more of a 40 degree daytime high and lower type of tent camper. Maybe I can check it out come January!

I camped at Lake Hartwell State Park a few years back in the primitive sites. It got to 11 degrees that night. Needless to say, me and the pup made a lot of laps around the campground that weekend.

the woman and I did something similar at Linville Gorges a few years back. me and the dog got real snuggly those nights. I also had to make her into a pupperito because she got cold when we weren't moving. it was great. no bugs and no humans. my favorite time of year!

I love to watch peoples faces after a good trip like that. You did what? In the freezing cold? By yourself? - I just smile and say YUP!

@BravesTaco95 and @jpneely there are two rustic sites available at Keowee Toxaway SP. I am booking one now for Sat night. We wont be using the camp pad, though, just the driveway for the RTT.

haha yup. during the day it was perfect. got up into the 20's and with a light jacket on it was great. winter camping is pretty much the only camping we'll do. plus, the grounds frozen so you don't have to worry about mud!

    Found another one anyway. .
1 yr only run, only 600 made. Waiting on confirmation that it's a Japanese model and not Korean, Indonesian or China.
