I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on Tacoma World, with all your knowledge and step by step guides and videos you've made something so scary so easy. I'm a pretty hands on guy but I've never tried to work on my car's out of fear of messing it up beyond repair. BUT IT'S SO EASY WITH YOU GUYS HERE TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING! I've been reading for about two months now and decided to finally make an account.

I hope you guys appreciate my truck as much as i do!

So far I've replaced the grille, removed the stars from my Rockstar wheels, replaced the chrome bumper pieces.

Blacking out the emblems next and getting some new headlights and tailights suited for led bulbs. (because I've learned through you guys led doesn't work in halogen housing ;)) Any Suggestions for some black ones?CarIMG_7606.jpg CarIMG_7605.jpg CarIMG_7604.jpg CarIMG_7601.jpg CarFullSizeRender.jpg

LED's will be fine in the halogen projectors as far as cut off goes. LED's seriously lack a hot spot to throw light far down the road though. You should put some HIDs in there and you'll be pleasantly surprised how much more light there is. My daily driver has halogen projectors and I replaced the bulbs with some 4300k phillips HID and the light output is insane.

here are some cool mods i did, first is the unholy mount with diamond plate, extender arm, and another diamond plate with the scosche magnetic phone mount glued to it. i didnt like the regular phone holder that comes with the unholy mount and ram attachments so i made my own, i took the scosche magnetic mount cut the ball head off of it and filed it down till it was a flat surface on the back so the epoxy would hold. it works really nicely has never fallen off and i even managed to keep the little clip to hold the wire in place :)

second is this amazing tie down mount that i discovered, the actual mount is made by relentless fabrication took 5 seconds to put on and the tie down is a boat buckle mini g3 retractable tie down, i got the 1in width with 72 inch length rope, i ride bmx so its nice to be able to just flip 5 bikes upside down in the back and easy run the tie down through all the wheels and lock them down.

yeah they're definitely expensive for a damn tie down, there's other brands that are a little cheaper, i got mine on ebay for 60$ for two, found some different brand ones that were an orange color for $25 for one but i wanted black.

Hot damn those are some neat mods! Also really digging that tie down strap. Is this your new build thread? I think yes.
