The same shit everyone else has.
    Well shit. That's awesome.

    UPDATE -

    Yard sale.....

Thinkin about selling my Cabelas CGR 5'9" 3w rod. I bought it as an impulse and I've used it once since then. Comes with tube. They retail for 129$ new.

Same goes for some SA WF4W Mastery Trout line. Used once, not a fan. Retails for 80$, I believe I paid 30$ for it on sale so Id let it go cheap.

And an Orvis Safe Passage Hip pack. Older style grey/blue one. Used for a few months. Still in good shape. I believe I paid 75$ for it.

And lastly, an Allen Green River chest pack. Used for a few months. Im good shape. I believe these were roughly 60$ new.

Im open to offers on all of this stuff as Id like to see someone use it instead of it just siitin here.

Well, Bad news work, I found TW has a Fly Fishing Section. My Productivity dropped by 25% again.

Nice to see CO folks in here as well as someone fishing the Savage River (MD/WV) where I learned to fish for trout (Flies on open faced reel).

Heading to San Juan River (NM) next Thursday for a long trip of Micro Flies, Big Azz trout (hopefully in my net) and slick as shit wading.

It is, it's the 10'6" soft hackle. First tenkara so I've not had anything to compare it with but it seems a pretty good substitute for a longer nymphing rod. I've wanted one of those 10' Echo rods for a while but this seems to do the job pretty well. I did lose a few nice fish yesterday because I had to manage them back towards me and overhanging trees prevented it. One snapped the tippet and the other came unbuttoned when I angled the rod sideways to get it under a branch :(

Successful weekend exploring a new stream. Fall is starting to show its face here in western PA. I love this time of year. Cool night, warm days. Theres something about the smell of the woods in the fall which you really cant beat

We did fish the Ranch. The bites were few but the scenery was awesome, probably the best sunset I've ever seen while fishing!

In the market for a new reel for my 8wt. Found out the drag on mine is 100% shot

Not looking to break the bank, but don't want to go cheap and end up replacing it after a year. Suggestions?

Maybe in the $200ish range? I was given the reel I have as a gift so I haven't had to buy one for myself recently so not totally sure what I'm gonna need to shell out for a reel that'll won't crap out so fast.

That's good. Since you're Alaska based, I'd definitely focus on a good drag system. Check out the Lamson Litespeed or Guru line on ebay. You should be able to pick up something in the $250ish range. You won't regret spending a little more for a product that will last a lifetime.
