That statement was an opinion therefor it cannot be false. Either way this isn't a trophy truck we are talking about. It is a stock TRD off road which is a more capable vehicle with 4wd.

Have the same truck - take it for a LONG test drive before you sign. Make sure you are OK with the shifting and throttle response before buying and pay attention for any vibrations. Don't just do an "around the block" drive (like I did), take it on the highway, side-roads, city if possible.

I am loving my truck more and more now, but it has taken a LOT of work to get it there. I did have one of the early '17s to roll off the line last summer so perhaps a newer one will have the kinks worked out better. For me, getting my truck to perform as I want took:

    cleaning the MAF sensor
tightening intake clamps that were loose / leaking
    replacing the crankshaft position sensor
securing some loose cables under the body that were causing some pedal vibes
damper on the exhaust to further reduce vibes
replace rear drum warped by over tightening at dealer
tune to reduce roughness and bogging at low speeds

The good news is, you'll learn A LOT about your truck in the process which isn't all bad... but for some of us this has been no walk in the park. Still a great truck and I wouldn't buy anything else now that I have it mostly dialed in... but it's been a PROCESS to say the least.

I want to get into it. As far as maintance i have a 4 year free dealer maintance then ill just pay the 1000$ or so to get another 4 year so thats not an issue. As far as lift 2" max is all i need i want no issues on this new truck. Got the nice 7 year warranty fully covered platinum warranty so a poor lift would surely screw that up. Thanks for feedback.

These are great but they give you no added clearance so im still deciding. Looks clean though and im keeping this as an option. Thanks!
