Not much of a mechanic so hoping to benefit of the knowledge here in the forum. I wanted to install a Cali Raised relay holder in my 2017 DCSB MT and was surprised to see this in the spot where that would normally mount in the engine compartment.

Looks like it is brake fluid from the cap but I thought the brake fluid reservoir was here (that looks like a brake icon on top - right?). The cap says brake fluid there too.

    Any help greatly appreciated....

Thanks guys...I guess the part that was confusing is the filler cap says "brake fluid" which I guess is the same
Not that I noticed but now that you mention it, I'll take a closer look. Thanks.

Pretty sure this thread was not about PROBLEMS with the brakes... just a simple question about the clutch reservoir. We know you got a lemon man. You don't have to post it in every. single. thread. you post in.

I am surprised they didn't just include an additional fitting on the brake reservoir and tie into that

I've always seen them separate. Not a bad idea to have them separate since master cylinders tend to wear out and eventually drain your fluid. Hate to run low or have it deplete out then your out of brakes as well.

Before the ATRAC System, the Clutch actually shared the Brake Fluid Reservoir. The nice thing about that was in frigid weather the clutch pedal was not sluggish as it is now with the tiny reservoir out on the fender.

Beandip, the new Smitty. Hates his truck, but asked how to turbo it. Then talked about selling it. 8/10, would seek advice from that guy again.

So was ATRAC the reason for the change or just a coincidence?

Not just ATRAC but all the other gizmos (VSC, yaw, Crawl control, downhill assist, etc) that utilize the brake circuit.
