A new head unit will do wonders for the stock sound system. I have an Alpine unit in mine and it supercharged the stock speakers...so much so that I am going to replace them with some newer stock freebies that I got from a user here!

Pretty cool!! I just feel like my stock speakers are going to blow if I raise them up too high.

You could get a small amp that fits behind the head unit like this one. https://www.amazon.com/Alpine-KTP-445U-4-channel-Power-Amplifier/dp/B003VVYL46

Or a little bit bigger of an amp and mount it under the seat. Could always do a 5-channel amp and add a sub to it also. I bought the alpine power pack off of ebay for $50 and will install it when I change out the door speakers with more better ones :D

One of the difference in "overlanding" and actual wheeling

I like that bumper. Guy in my high school had one and it stayed on the frame after getting yanked by a Duramax that broke two straps

I understand for sure! I am strapped right now too! Same here I've had that mini alpine amp for like 2 years lol just don't have the funds to build the sound system the way I truly want it.

Buuttttttttt.....Friday is my last truck payment!!!:bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::headbang::headbang::headbang: $400 back in the pocket each month will be nice.

Next up will be fixing the front timing cover seal, replacing all top gaskets and seals, replacing the waterpump, Bilstein 5100's, OME 885 coils.......Who knows what else?

Nah, but my truck is a 2011, I don't think you could get XM from Toyota at the time. Plus, I can play porn DVDs as I'm rolling down the highway, once I get by that bothersome warning screen!

That's not an amp, it's a subwoofer. $300 at Crutchfield today, (which is what I paid in 2012), $207 on Amazon.
