    Who has a mounted HAM or CB radio in their cab? I have mine coming in tomorrow and need to install it same day before a camping trip. However I just found out we don't have the rubber grommets under the driver side like 2nd gens do. So my question is how did you run your coax cable from your antenna to your radio?

    Go under the grommet under the seat and route through the carpet

    That grommet isn't present for third gens. Unless it's been hidden elsewhere.

    That's surprising you don't have them. Are you sure? If not, I've read of people routing them through those plastic vents at the rear of the cab behind the back seats.

    Not 100% sure. It's not in the same location as 2nd gens. I'm at work right now but will crawl under the truck when I get home. Not going to drop skid plates to search just yet. Im due for an oil change next month so if I don't find a grommet before I'll drop for the oil change and search

    So I found 2 rubber grommet looking things. Any idea which I should use?

    Here's the first one. It's a bit bigger. Located about where the door opens

    Either one works. What I did was drill a small hole in the grommet, then cut from the hole to the edge of the grommet. That way you can slip the grommet over the coax and get a decent seal, then add silicone for added waterproofing.
