Better to ask what I have not done.
Really only 12??? I would have thought you would have been doing better then that.
I was measuring about 13.5" of travel with the 12" shocks at the end of the tire to fender

    Then there is the front...

Well I have no idea where you'd go then. A word of advice, I've never heard of anyone going NG after and NOT hating it. At least in colorado.

Did you guys actually cycle your suspension, or how are you coming up with actual travel numbers based on these poser shots? :D

Oh, and your shackle flips are only moving the mounting point of the leafs and don't change travel numbers. :stirthepot:

Still no. Again, longer shackles are only changing the mounting point. All you're doing is changing the range of motion of the leafs further away from the frame. This assumes you have them bumped correctly as well.

Length of leafs determines travel, and the stock shackles provide enough range of motion for stock length springs.

I have to disagree, with a more centered location of frame side shackle mounting and longer shackles you will still maintain the same compression of the spring but you will be able to arch your spings more on the droop, yes longer springs will gain more travel but thats because of length of lever arm... no shit it will work better.

The factory shackel gives you about 30 degrees of travle rear and ~45 degrees forward. Flip them and you can go a full 90 degrees rear under compression and just below tangent of the spring at the springs arch..

Why do the long travle trucks have 9" + long shackels on the back? If their 63 inch spring pack and full arch under the axle are doing all the work.. the shackles are there to provide the horizontal travle for the springs to move vertically
