Laying in wait under the Ultra-Z hood is 346 ci of nitrous sniffing madness. The stock block motor's only internal modification is an SLP LS6 blueprinted oil pump. The engine breathes deep with a set of coated Pacesetter long-tube headers and a Thunder Racing lid with Holley Blue filter. A Texas Speed and Performance cam measuring 233/239 at .050 duration actuates the stock valves and rockers to a .603/.600 lift. The FAST intake and Jantzer 78mm throttle body shove 93 octane into the stock cylinder heads.

A Hooker after-cat exhaust with dual-dual tips snarls to let you know this car is all business. A heavy-duty Stage 4 FLT 4L65E sends power via a stock driveshaft to the Eaton-equipped posi. A Thunder Racing aluminum differential cover and brace are helping to keep the 10-bolt in one piece for the time being.

A Wolfe Race Craft four-point weld-in roll cage offers an extra measure of safety and a convenient location to mount the rear light bar. Dual 5-pound polished Nitrous Express bottles with custom billet Speed Werks mounts flank each side of the bar, with a 10-pound ceramic coated NX bottle with custom RPM mount sits just aft of the center console on the floor. Note the rear facing radar unit on the upper left and the Remington 870 shotgun mount at the bottom.

I liked the old caprices, but I'm a gm guy. I'm not an LEO though, yet (1 semester and BLET left). Not RWD and not available in a V8, but impalas seem to be coming back at a lot of departments.

I am not LEO, but these are local seized cars that have been converted..

I have personally been pulled over by an undercover 06 Mustang.

When we were living in Virginia Beach (1998-2000), the police held this D.A.R.E thing in the parking lot of the local K-Mart in October 1999. My dad took me. They had "work in progress" drug-seized van on display. It was a 1992-1997 Ford Aerostar (fairly new at the time), and it was black with red flames. One of the deputies told me that they planned on lifting it in the future. Needless to say, that's the first time I ever thought an Aerostar was cool...

The 2011-present Ford Explorer has replaced the Crown Vic. Now whenever I see a white or black Explorer, I think it's a cop!

I wonder if they know how bad of an effect those black explorers have on our brake pads.

Funny you mention that. I was going to mention how I think the 1970s Dodges and Plymouths with the 440s were the Kings of Cop Cars back in the day, but note that this poll is for 1992-present vehicles. I'm thinking I should do a poll for 1970s-1991ish police cars, based on how popular this one ended up being!

1992-1996 Caprice 9C1, identifiable as newer than 1991 by the rear fender wells!
