I had nothing going on sunday. Was a nice drive out there. I want to get back in the country so much. I hate suburbia

I am in Verona, grew up in stuarts draft. its only 15 mins from me just on this side of afton mountain right off 64. I would be down to meet and run the trail. Just have to plan it when I don't have to work as I am working most Saturday nights here lately, also my boy has football games on Saturday mornings and I am the coach so I kinda gotta be there for that. I do get off work on Friday mornings and am off that night as well so if we had to we could plan something on a Friday if that worked for you.

 

It was so weird seeing houses with land around them. Single family homes not stacked on top of each other in cramped developments, no rows after rows of townhouses, no backups for miles...
Then i came back to reality

I liked Bald Mountain. Id just want to camp at the end. And maybe explore somewhere else.

Unfortunately, I am pretty much booked until the middle of October, on my weekends off. I have been trying to build up my days off again. I like when I am "forced" to take a day off from work.

@JWROSE4 you should definitely come to the Mobtown event at AOAA next weekend

 

I would like to but my weekends are pretty full as well. As soon as football season for little league is over though I will be a lot more flexible.

 

I'm down for a bald mountain trip whenever. Was just telling a new guy about it and he's down to join.

And now I don't need to worry about any damn Stumps

Right on...there is the openings all along the way to camp. If not part of the way on the trail the spots at the top of the trail. I want to take the roads that branch off the trail next time too. A guy at work was telling me it isn't much technical wise but there is an old fire tower back at one and a open field or something down the other.

 

Sounds like a fun time to me!

 

Ok I'm not really following closely enough I guess but what did you have before? Just bed bars?
