    Maybe the solar panel doesn't get enough sun?

    all the solar lights I've seen say good for up to 8 - 10 hours of light on a full charge. Not dusk to dawn

    Go to your favorite flavor auto parts store, buy a car battery and a solar battery charger. Hook your solar light to the car battery as well as the 2nd light to shine on that solar panel...

    Nope it definitely has printed on the box 6 hr illumination time but dims out at 4.5 hrs and completely dead by 5.5 hrs

    The illumination times is printed in small script which I didn't notice when I purchased it

    That's always a possibility. If they don't get all day sun, they won't fully charge. There's a guy down here in Yuma that installs solar on rv's, yet he always mananges to mount the panels too close to roof vents or something else that sticks up on the roofs. Then the customers wonder why they don't get a full charge.

    Oh. Mine has 12 hours of talk time. I don't know how well it would work for tunes and videos though. I use it sometimes at work for you tubing how to play guitar videos. Not all that impressed. YMMV.

    @vssman

    Mentioned he's using a low voltage landscape light transformer and I'm starting to like that idea now . Just don't know how I can mount the spotlight and or transformer box

    As you can see in the pic I posted the outlet is located to the right of my kitchen window and the fence is 4' high

    If you look at my front yard there's not much of a choice to mount a solar panel except for on the 4' tall fence

    As you can see from my pic the large area that is casting a shadow which leaves the only option on top of that 4' tall fence
    The position I'm standing I'm facing 12°North heading so the Sun travels right to left of where I'm oriented .So again shadows or building obstructions come into play

    The solar flag light I had the solar panel it used was both the solar panel and photocell .They were connected via a coiled cord that had a keyed 2 pin connector that connected to the solar panel from the lamp . So not sure how I would rewire it to work using a car battery

    The battery for that photocell is just a 1200Mah battery

    We have a bunch of stand alone solar at work. We don't buy anything that small. They guy before me did and I'm replacing it as we change over. Our vault toilets are the smallest light we have and those batteries are the size of a big motorcycle, and they are only led lights.

    LED lights have come along way and are way cheaper in price than even 2 years ago.
